I'd place ATLYLM near the middle of the Words album, but it's still a great song (especially lyrically) and an impressive vocal. Plus, even an "okay" song from Sara Evans is still way better than what most artists are capable of on their best day, lol.  |

It literally only happens in one spot Um...the BGVs beg to differ! But once again, that only happens in one specific section of the song; it's not the spirit of the song itself. And it's all buried under the full band, acting as a sort of countermelody, compared to the one time Sara does it (which is definitely conspicuous and I could see it being awkward). So it's not the same set of circumstances at all. Like, if this was how she ended every chorus it would be hella annoying. But everything else about this song is so entirely not like that part, it's weird to act like that part is a big deal. The chorus has such a natural build to it, and her voice sounds like heaven when she goes into falsetto on the word "sheets"  There's just so many positive moments in the song. But then again the people who dislike it are obviously a vocal minority, since the song is still in, so I don't even know why I feel the need to defend it so hard |

Bowing out at #39, we finally say goodbye to bigfan101's first bottom 5!!!!  Luckily for him, it's his least favorite of the bunch... As you can see, y'all are looking at the most polarizing song of the entire list! This song had a top 5 vote, and a whopping TEN top 20 votes, alongside its 8 bottom 15 votes. I can definitely see why people find this one annoying. I'm sure it's largely driven by the odd "boo boo boo boo boo boo boo" vocalization during the musical transitions. Personally I find it to be pretty catchy, but it did probably last a tad too long here. |

"Burn Out" is a gorgeous straight UP traditional country song. Glad it made it so far but deserved better!
"Desperate Man" is pretty dreadful for me. I've been lost on Eric Church's music for a lonnnnnnng time now. It's just not good to me. This one long overstayed IMO.

(Burn Out is) A random song to have a higher SD and last place when you could have given it to any songs in #101~115 of this rankdown...
I must also say the melody for Burn Out isn't my type as the chorus doesn't sound like a chorus at all. "Just watchin' rivers run/Down the side of my bottle/Almost like it's cryin' my tears" is a great imagery though.

lol poor raylatch98 so it begins AGAIN. I want to like "Damage" better than I do. It's good, for sure, and Rachel's voice is gorgeous! I'm not at all upset it made it this high tho. Better than a good a chunk of the big hits for sure lol. |

"Damage" slays so much One of my favorite releases from a lesser-known female artist, for sure! Rachel Wammack's voice is so soothing on this song, and the lyrics have given me chills more than a few times. I am thrilled this made the top 40 here, despite being a slower song that a lot of people probably hadn't heard before. This ended up having a very low standard deviation, with most of the ranks falling between the 30s and the 60s, with just a few noteworthy outliers jumping out from the crowd on either end. |

You all don't have bad taste afterall! I have actually been on pins and needles for the past 20 or so reveals thinking this could be out anytime lmao. There is this really misguided disdain for Michael Ray on Pulse, so even though "Get To You" is an absolutely INCREDIBLE country song, I could see it getting tanked way too early! Glad that ended up not being the case. The two usual suspects are the lowest ranks, omg so shocking.  Anyway, adore this song. There was no way this wasn't going to be my #1; HOWEVER, my #2 is right up there with it. That had better not be out for a long time!!! |

Desperate Man is a big fat turd! Good riddance! So close to yet another PR but very pleasantly surprised to see Damage make the top-40! It was one of my favorite discoveries in 2018! Yeah, I liked the other Michael song better. :sip2: And only one song left to clear my bottom 15!

"The Long Way" is good. Not great, but enjoyable enough. I actually really like the chorus.
"Speechless" is AWFUL, but I haven't heard anything from these guys that isn't awful. They never escape my bottom 5 in these RD's! And I promise it's not just cuz I see their name and throw them on the bottom lol, I legit don't like anything about their vocals OR music.
