Jana Kramer has had better songs (“Whiskey”, “I Got the Boy”, “Circles” etc.). While this wasn’t bad by any means and I sort of like it, this song didn’t do a whole lot for me either.

Just missing out on the top 40 by a mere two points, Jana Kramer becomes the next casualty of this rankdown. This is one of those rare instances where nobody loses a top 10, and there's also only one bottom 10. A slurry of top 20s helped it to survive as long as it did, despite being one of the lesser-known songs in this rankdown.

Well at least Jimmie beat out that atrocious Taylor song. That is one of the most unappealing songs I’ve ever come across and I didn’t know it even existed before this rankdown. “Best Shot” I instantly loved! That voice, ugh, so good.
So here’s the thing, time to overshare. “I’ve Done Love” hit me so goddamn hard in the feels. The love of my life ruined our relationship with substance abuse- meanwhile I’ve never touched a thing, but I’d never been so in love with someone in my life before him. That’s obviously over now, but I’d have married him had he not thrown his life away. Those lyrics hit me so hard and typically I never relate to country lyrics. Say what you want about it, but the song is fantastically written- sincerely, someone who’s lived the words.

Have you ever watched any of her acoustic videos on YouTube? She records covers all the time of songs that s**t all over her own material, and they all completely slay! Lol Yeah I have watched her covering songs like Psycho/Slow Burn/God Is A Woman on Youtube last year. All are bad honestly. She adds no redeeming qualities for Psycho, and takes away the interesting things in instrumentals of Slow Burn/God Is A Woman. Then when her voice is focused on, it isn't as impressive as Ariana because her high notes aren't as high as Ariana's, and doesn't sound as relaxed as Kacey. I Hate Love Songs isn't that smart y'all. There is nothing contrasting between "I hate love songs" and "I love you". The attempt of writing some clever plot twists failed hard here. Also I am still tired to those boring 3/4 beat songs on country radio. It's a shame Cody Johnson will never have mainstream success. Are you sure about that? On My Way To You is on its way to #1 and his new album has a few radio friendly songs that could maintain his mainstream success. I bet he will be seen in those new artist awards in country music awards and that would be one of many funny things that will happen this year. It's really a shame that Asking For a Friend flopped because he actually has some interesting ways to say some ideas and they work well for this song. My #86, #89, #99 and #106 can go out now, but since Pulse likes/loves #89 and #106 I may have to wait longer...I hope those two will have more tankers! |

Some of you I swear just block out how bad the son is because you love the artist. There is absolutely NO reason Desprate Man should be around.

The Highway started playing "On My Way to You" late last year and I've also heard good things about the song and artist. Very refreshing to hear amongst a climate that's been obsessed with production more than any other aspect these days.

I am glad "Desperate Man" made top 40, solid song that gets hated by a very vocal minority. Glad it made Top 40. Won't make much higher. But I am glad some of you are seething it made the Top 40.

I am always fascinated when people who dislike "All The Love You Left Me" quote the "you left me left me left me left me" line like it's actually an important enough moment in the song to have any kind of bearing on the way the song sounds as a whole. It literally only happens in one spot, but people always harp on it like it's the defining moment around which the entire song is written   |
