Swapping out Sara Evans for Hilary Scott on "Never Alone" is like trading a handbag from Neiman Marcus for a paper sack from the grocery store.

I lost my first top ten, which also serves as a near top five, with another soundtrack single used for the 2008 Summer Olympics sponsored by AT&T. vann also loses her first top five and zaclord 🌈 suffers another major loss right after losing his #2. I mean, I get that it wasn't issued to radio and wasn't put on any studio album, but why all the bottom tens for this one? There's a great uplifting message in the song that most likely holds a special place in my heart.
With #25, more top tens keep dropping as we lose an exact opposite of this song.

Who's re Ady to see me join The flop brigade & lose my firs T top ten?! 26. I Was Here
For this clue to have actually worked you needed to bold and/or capitalize those letters in the original sentence too.

#30 and #29 not sad to see these two solo songs go. "Good Time to Be Alive" is just ok for me. I thought "Never Alone"would be higher. I´ve always liked "I Was Here" sad to miss one of my top 5.

So... we lose the exact opposite of "I Was Here" at #25, where it was released to country radio and put on a studio album. In this case, it was the final single from Lady A's third album Own the Night. d3vin44 is probably closer to the edge of his seat seeing this out already as he loses his first top five after nearly a dozen consecutive cuts from his bottom half; meanwhile, three others lose a top ten, including two firsts from Zach and castleoblivion26. On the other end of the spectrum, fearlessarrow finally loses his #36! As you can see, we encounter our first tie here just as we escape the bottom ten; the song that broke this tie has a top two ranking and a slightly higher SD. I think the song's just alright, but think it wasn't wise to release it as a single during the Summer months. The chorus does get repetitive at times, I'll admit.

Not sad it's going out around this point even though I always liked this one.
I guess I'm the minority opinion on liking Scott's solo songs. I'm not surprised "Thy Will" made it the farthest of the three since it was the only one I'd heard prior to doing this rankdown.

The should've-been second single following "Bartender" leaves us quite short of the top 20; making big sacrifices are LBTrocks with his #2 and two other top tens from .indulgecountry and sabre14. On the plus side for bboat11, he finally loses his #36! This deserved better, both here and on the charts imo.

.indulgecountry and sabre14 know what’s up! The production on “Long Stretch of Love” is EUPHORIC! The melody is amazing and that minor key is so gorgeous. But yes, by all means, let’s get rid of it early on in favor of the plethora of boring songs they have in their catalog. “Love Don’t Love Here” had better be top 5 lol.

I know a good handful of y'all are relieved to see this one out already!
This risky single choice from Need You Now had most of us Pulsers predicting that it would become a big bonafide smash hit or an outright disastrous flop upon it's announcement in late 2010. Funny enough, it turned out to perform right in the middle and only 'flopped' with respect to how big the preceding #1 country radio hits were from the title track, "American Honey" and "Our Kind of Love".
Honestly, I'm not too surprised this turned out to be as polarizing as it was, given the roughly equal amount of supporters (e.g. the quartet of top fives and several more top fifteens) and detractors (e.g. the ten bottom tens). Personally, I love the song and think it's a highlight from the nearly flawless album which I hope we get to rank later this year...

I get why “Hello World” is a bit polarizing but speaking for myself it’s one of the songs that’s always been able to lift me up if I’m feeling down and reminds me that there is plenty to be thankful for in this life.
As for “Long Stretch of Love” I feel like even my #31 ranking was too high because it just isn’t a song I want to revisit...I’ve never listened to the 747 album but I really didn’t pay much more attention to that era after “Freestyle”.

"Long Stretch of Love" is the one and only song thus far that I'm even the slightest bit disappointed to see eliminated. But then we immediately followed it up with one of their worst songs in "Hello World" so I guess that shall suffice.

Same lol, “Hello World” is cliched and genetic trash tbh It’s so funny how some of our tastes differ because I think “Long Stretch of Love” is about as generic of a song as you’ll find from country radio in 2015 whereas a song like “Hello World” I tend to connect with more lyrically and find uplifting.

Echoing .indulgecountry here that seeing "Long Stretch Of Love" leave is sad but it was more than made up for seeing "Hello World" bite the bullet next. HW is horrid imo.

I'm assuming you're not including promotional singles--otherwise it could only be All We'd Ever Need and When You Were Mine--so I'm gonna guess Golden and All We'd Ever Need.

Oof the album tracks are going to hurt, I really liked "All We'd Ever Need", "Golden", and "Lie With Me"... hopefully one of the ones that get eliminated is "When You Were Mine" ("Love This Pain" would be good with me too although I kind of like that one too)!
As for the results... "Long Stretch of Love" is out too early, but my #36 is finally gone so I'll take it. "Wanted You More" is an ultimate snoozer in their discography.
