#1-25: Probably the only songs on here that are worth coming back to.
#26-35: Some of these until this showed up I completely forgot existed.
#36-50: Just slap a giant average on these.
#51-63: Could have been a whole lot better.
#64-75: Not really good, or could never get into them.
#76-82: These exist for some reason.
#83-94: Bad.
#95-100: My seven pound Pomeranian can make better music than this.

one thing i didn't really notice this year until listening to this playlist: Alt Radio is finally starting to play more songs by female singers. Hoping they trend more in this direction next year.

I don't think I've ever had a rankdown with nothing above a 4/5 or so many worse than a 3/5. I'm really hoping 2019 is a bit better on the charts because this by far was the worst I've ever seen on Alt.

I wasn't expecting this particular ballot update to be so massive, but, uh, life got in the way. No matter, it's time for the biggest 2018 Alternative rankdown B-B-B-BALLOT UPDATE EVER! Who is adding their talents to the pool? Let's see...*deep breath* morneaumispelled, Doc Indie Party Rock, rowellfarm490, @carseatlegrest, alexcuse, @xfer, Beno, American Idiot, Lordef†ones, MoD, and BlurryKyle. That's two extra-large updates in one! So, as you'd imagine, all of these posters together PROBABLY had a little bit of an effect on the ranking. But how much of an effect? Well, that's where I come in!

- Things are changing at the top! Though the songs in the top two are the same as in the last update, the songs have swapped spots multiple times during the course of these eleven rankings. Though the two songs are still separated by over 40 points, it's anyone's ballgame. Hell, things actually got marginally closer between #2 and #3, though #2 is still over 100 points clear of #3. We're also beginning to see some gaps inside the top ten, especially closer to the bottom of the top ten. The gap between #10 and #11, for example, is over 50 points.
- Nothing really to add, in terms of the songs that have remained in every top ten...it's still three. Also, all three are in the top five.
- STRUGGLING SONG UPDATE: GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE...the song is out of the bottom 30! It could easily fall back in with the next ranking, though, so its position remains precarious. The other song I mentioned is starting to move up, though, nearing the top half.
- *sigh* Yep, the same six bottom ten constants remained in the bottom ten over the course of these eleven rankings, and the best-performing of the six remains over 100 points behind #90. One of the bottom two from the previous update vaulted out of the bottom five, but #100 is still there, alongside a song that has been #100 before. The gap is much larger, though, with almost 70 points separating the bottom two.
- I CAN'T GET TO SLEEP! I THINK ABOUT THE THRESHOLD UPDATES! The top two are the first two songs to cross 2,500 points, while the next four songs have moved up over 2,400 points. 27 songs have reached the 2,000 point milestone, and all but 18 are over 1,000 points! Meanwhile, just six songs have yet to reach 500 points, and only one has even yet to reach 300.
- WE'LL TEAR YOUR STANDARD DEVIATIONS APART! You ready for a shocker? Somehow, the same two songs as last time REMAIN the two highest standard deviations. Even more incredibly, the two songs are almost at exactly the same positions. In fact, the highest SD is STILL at #53...but the next highest is a spot lower at #85. The song I mentioned in the last update with a surprisingly high SD continues to have a high SD. The second-lowest SD remains the same song as last time, still in the top five, but the current #100 is the song that has the lowest SD.
- And, of course, what would a ballot update be without the powerful Pulse's Favorite Part of the Ballot Update...

Halfway through, and yep there's a difference between this and the retro ones. A big difference.

In the retro ones, usually I find I hate/dislike only 4-5 songs total.

So far, I've found 10 of them. Found only 4 songs I'd give 5/5 to so far.

There's a big glut of decent/OK songs right now. And I think it's only gonna get worse.

When I submit, I'll give my rankings.

Both have Bishop Briggs on it – the album version was more her relegated to background vocals rather than a prominent role, while the "more Bishop" version has extra vocals in the song.
