40: Miracle - Nope. Not a fan of the autotune. 39: Passion - The guitar sounds great here, but "Handyman" is better. 38: Painkiller - It's better than "Screws", but still not all that great. 37: Adore - "Female indie pop" done right. Moving on... 36: Four out of Five - I applaud them for making something interesting, but this is perhaps the worst single I've heard from them. It's alright but not great. 35: House on Fire - Rise Against on autopilot is still good enough for top 30. 34: The Line - Another song from an alt veteran in my top 40. Pretty good song, but I ranked their other song higher. 33: Humility - Why is this so low in a dumpster fire year like this? This is great. 32: Over and Over and Over - See "Humility". 31: Body Talks - Yeah this is a jam. Wished it did better on Alt. 30: So Tied Up - Again, underwhelming era for them. Did not deserve to do betger than "Miracle Mile" or "Hand Me Up to Dry". 29: The Sky is a Neighborhood - See "Body Talks". 28: Get Out - Better than "Miracle", but they're capable of much better. "My Enemy", "Graffiti" and "Forever" are all better than their two songs here. 27: Turn - This was cool. 26: One More Light - Easily the best song on the album. BY FAR. RIP Chester, you'll be missed.
"Revolutionary" is much better than "Favorite Color is Blue", and I would've tanked "Baby". Would have been my #96. For once I'm glad the Billboard year ended a week earlier so we did not have to rank this. (It would've been ahead of Preacher Man on the YE chart if it's so iirc)
In other news, we're 75 reveals in and I still don't have a perfect ranking wtf

I still remember the day it happened. I’m a very casual Linkin Park listener but I have a super close friend who is a huge Linkin Park fan who was supposed to go see them as her first concert. I remembe messaging her back and forth about Chester’s death, it was a painful exchange. It was almost like time had stopped, and I’m pretty sure it felt like that for the whole music community too.
“One More Light” is such a beautiful song, wish it would’ve at least made top 20.

35. House On Fire - This might sound like "autopilot" to some, but for me it's a welcome return to the more melodic side of Rise Against, and a breath of fresh air in a year like this. I'm not usually one of their boosters, but this is the most I've liked one of their singles in a while.
34. The Line - There are parts of this I like, and parts of this I don't. Overall it's nowhere near one of their strongest singles, but it's okay. I had this higher than their other song, but not by much.
33. Humility - And I face the humility of a top 10 loss. Great song, a welcome return to form for Gorillaz, and most definitely robbed.
32. Over & Over & Over - I don't love this quite as much as I did at first, but it's a fun blast of rock and roll energy that still sounds fresh and modern. Wouldn't have minded this doing a little better, but I'll take it.
31. Body Talks - Now speaking of rock and roll energy, this one is really a blast, especially with Kesha. I'm definitely on board the Struts train after this song. Not entirely shocked that there's some backlash, but it couldn't even make top 30? C'mon.
30. So Tied Up - Hot take: this is one of the best CWK singles. (And it's certainly the best I've heard from Bishop Briggs.) Two off from a perfecto here.
29. The Sky Is A Neighborhood - I legit hated this one at first, thought it sounded like an Imagine Dragons demo. I definitely *can* get why someone would put this at #100. It did eventually grow on me a little, but it still overstayed.
28. Get Out - The better of the two singles from them, I can see why people would find it annoying, but it's appealingly catchy for me. It stuck around long enough though.
27. Turn - I thought this one was just okay. This band is pretty hit-or-miss with me, I like "Bee-Sting" a good amount more.
26. One More Light - I can't honestly say this song particularly resonated with me, but I can definitely see why it did with other people. I probably should have put it a little higher. R.I.P. Chester. :(
EXTRAS: "Revolutionary" is definitely my favorite Robert DeLong single from this era, not to mention it's exponentially better than that moaning whale mess. Not a fan of "Baby" at all, I haven't cared for any of her singles (not counting "So Tied Up"), but this is the first one I actively disliked.

1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 20, 24, 26, 30, 32, 36, 42, 43, 58, 60, 61, 66, 76, 77, 83, 86, 96. I'm a bit annoyed at those last two still being in - someone told me that my #86 is mostly only liked by fellow pop posters, so I thought it would actually be in the bottom 50. I'm fine with anything 61 and up winning, I guess. I'm pleasantly surprised at James Bay still being in. "Pink Lemonade" is so far superior to "Let It Go", IMO. Rooting for my 1, 2, and 4 to make the top ten!

40. CHVRCHES - MiracleI was never able to get into this one. Not a fan of that style intro. I need music to get me going. I loved the synths in the pre chorus ,but it all goes to Imagine Dragon's hell in the chorus. It pains me to say, but this is the worst CHVRCHES' single to date. This reminds me that I need to chart at least one more track fro that album. 39. AWOLNATION - PassionWhat the hell are yoy guys doing? This is miles batter than the "handyman" bore a thon.which really needs to GTFO soon. 38. DREAMERS - Painkiller Great song. This is the one I almost charted, but I still dug "Screws" more when I previewed them back to back. Sorry. 37/ Amy Shark - AdoreWeird song to be in the top 40. This was pretty boring and did nothing for me. 36. Arctic Monkeys - Four Out Of FiveThis is cool. Kinda slick in its own way. 35. Rise Against - House On FireNot surprised who put this at #1. This is like me putting Def Leppard at #1 just because its Def Leppard. Anyway, great song. Those who are afraid of guitar can leave the building now. 34. Foo Fighters - The LineRight where it belongs. Not the strongest for Foo's but a masterpiece among songs of ALT 2018. 33. Gorillaz feat George Benson - HumilityYou know half the song on this list suck when I don't tank a Gorillaz song. BTW, why hasn't "Tranz" been released as a single? 32. Jack White - Over and Over and OverThis had some fierce guitar in it. I totally forgot about when I did my weekly charts, but I will make up for that mistake with "Sunday Driver" 31. The Struts - Body Talksdammit! One of my top 5 monsters is out. Perfect Rock vibe. That's really all I ask for. Some guitar oriented Alt music to grace our charts. Really surprised by one of those bottom tankers, because this is sounds great for the gym. I like the one Kesha screams one even more. 30. Cold war Kids feat Bishop Briggs - So Tied UpThis band's music doesn't blow me away. One of their better songs. Not much else to add. 29. Foo Fighters - The Sky Is NeighborhoodTheir best song from this era was "Run". 'nuff said. 28. CHVRCHES - Get OutLong live synthpop. This was a proper CHVRCHES song. It's amazing what some hate about a song others will completely love. The chorus flows beautifully and you can't complain of not knowing it by heart. "Get Out" x50. that's all I really ask for a catchy chorus I can sing along to. 27. Wombats - T urnLike many others I traded this "too radio friendly for its own good" song for the much more risque "Lemon To A Knife Fight". F U C K ALT charts if they are that afraid of guitar. 26. Linkin Park - One More LightIt was about time this one stepped out. This was boring with a capital B. Only reason its this high is because of Chester. Its a shame they had to exit with this album instead of something like "the Hunting Party" Top 25 and I'm only out two top 10's. Call the presses. :o

Oh damn my top 20 took some hits. But even with my #56 still in the game, I'm not too mad at it. I could see it even making the top 10 but hopefully not. Its my #52 actually that I'm hoping goes out before the top 10.

"Over and Over and Over", "Body Talks", and "Humility" all deserved to do a little bit better. They still did quite well though.
I'm glad "Handyman" and "&Run" have made it this far. I was hopeful that they would but wasn't sure if either would get enough support.

Wow, I had a GREAT set of reveals! I knocked out 6 bottom 20s and now only have 3 left!
41 81 60 73 96 33 89 85 97 46 21 83 54 66 42
That means I just have my 2, 5, 10 13, 14, 24 31, 35, 39, 40 45, 49, 56 61, 63, 65, 67, 69 75, 76, 77, 80 86, 95, 98
Hoping something in my top 25 can win, but I'll be happy as long as something in my top 60 wins because I liked all of those to some degree at least

Left:
4, 7, 9 11-15 28-29 37 40, 45-47 51, 54 61-63, 67 72, 74, 76
This is making top 10, isn't it? 98
Revolutionary---Recommended. For those not into Favorite Color is Blue, the video almost feels like a Robert DeLong performance. The song is more solid and sturdy as well. Probably would have ended up top 25.
Baby---Nope. I consider myself a fan of Ms. Briggs. This doesn't play to her strengths at all.

We're on the road to the top ten, and our first stop is the trusty old #25. This song has a whopping 36 top half rankings, as well as 17 top 25s and eight top 10s. One of those top tens is a very high top five. Almost all of this song's lowest rankings are above the bottom 20, but a high bottom 20 and a high bottom 10 will certainly make themselves known here. This song spent every ranking in the top 25, but it wound up at its lowest point.
