Yep, so "The Box" was the first proper #1 of this decade, thus rendering my "Dance Monkey" prediction invalid. Anyway, "Good As Hell" and "Memories" are both done now, and "Dance Monkey" might be lucky to reach a top 3 peak, but it will probably peak at the top 5. I am hoping "Don't Start Now" gets there, but it's unlikely so far (but a top 5 peak is very much possible). Also, if "Life Is Good" doesn't debut at #1 this week, I don't think it will have any chance reaching it later on.

One of the less than desirable things about long #1 runs without strong debut challenges is that it's kind of hard to think of what will dethrone the #1.

I feel like Blinding Lights could get it off the album, and while I doubt it at this point Iβm still holding out on Dance Monkey sneaking a week in off radio gains.

Life Is Good is bleeding even faster than The Box. Circles is starting to decline but it isnβt really slow so itβs possible that it could get another week just from survival.
Other than that, DSN and Blinding Lights.

Besides that, I think blinding lights is very likely. It looks on track to be #3 next week and as long as radio stays on board until the album it will put up one hell of a fight for #1.

Blinding Lights will top Itunes when Dance Monkey starts falling on radio(which is due soon) and its still growing on streaming. Radio alone can't keep Circles ahead of it for long. |

I hope "Don't Start Now" makes it somehow. It's been doing so well for a non-viral disco-influenced song, and Dua Lipa deserves it so much.
I don't think "Dance Monkey" will go to #1, unlike my early predictions. I could be wrong though, but regardless, it's definitely not going to be as massive as it was in Australia and Europe.
"Blinding Lights" seems to be the biggest contender currently. Doing extremely well on all mediums, and the hype for The Weeknd's upcoming album is definitely there.
