This song is absolutely rediculous. The whole album is pop but they at least could have picked one of the more catchier songs.

Not surprising, this and Underdogs sounded like the 2 smashes to me.
I hope All Tractors Ain't Green gets some big exposure at some point because it is utterly sensational and the best thing on the album.

This is very safe and radio friendly. Sounds like something Dan + Shay would have recorded. This should do well for him though hopefully, seems like the type of song genetically designed to receive good callout scores.

I was disappointed that this album has a production that is so polished/perfect - it made nothing stand out from the pack. That said, "How to Be Single" DID stand out, its a SMASH. I thought that was a lock to be the second single...I don't even remember this one so I will need to revisit it today.

That’s something I think that you can push to number one. I believe this new one will be a decent sized hit, but probably won’t make close to the impact of “Best Shot”

Mods please move this thread to the “Pop” forum since it has clearly been misplaced.

I hope this becomes a hit, because country radio really needs more diversity in its artists (in race, gender, ethnicity, etc.). And I like the song.

Goodness, so much hostility toward Dustin J. when he was just being nice and providing one way (out of many streaming options) to listen to the song... Y'all do know that you can look the song up yourself, right? Anyway, I like this a good bit and think it could be another hit for him. It's definitely nowhere as good as "Best Shot", but it's still better than a lot of what's out there right now and like someone else here said, I really want to see him succeed if for no other reason than to help diversify the genre (read: more than just white men being successful). Although I really like Jimmie so that's definitely not the only reason. PS - a "Pop Mix" of "Best Shot" was released today. I wonder if the label is planning a push to CHR/HAC with it? If so, I wonder who BBR will partner with for promotion to these formats, because I don't think they've got any ties to promotion teams for those genres. Has BBR pushed any other of their artists' singles to other formats? The only Aldean single I can think of that may have was "Don't You Wanna Stay" but I don't think that did anything if it was released. It'll be interesting to see what happens with that.

I think everyone in the country forum needs a quick refresher on what a pop song actually sounds like... Pop: Not Pop: Pop: Not Pop: Also, he literally said he likes the song. So obviously he's not rooting for this just because Jimmie is a black male.

Of course I care about song quality, which is SUBJECTIVE. I happen to like the song (which I mentioned in the original post) and I definitely don’t think it’s any more pop than other songs on the chart.

It's so great to see Best Shot stay consistent, with enough momentum to release another single. I think it'll gradually build like BS is at the moment.

BMG owns BBR, they have prop teams. This can get backing at pop/ac.

Totally didn't expect to see this getting more than 50 adds, but it did with 55.

This is alright. Not as good as his first single (which had to grow on me quite a bit), and definitely very generic, but it's decent enough. He hasn't really piqued my interest much so far, but I'm rooting for him because as others said, it's nice to see some diversity in the genre. Now I just wish Mickey Guyton could get herself a hit.

She's over 30 and a female in country. Say nothing of her genetics. She's got virtually no shot at country radio now. None. Sigh. As for this song, It's not "How To Be Single," but it'll likely get Jimmie his second big radio hit. So that works, I guess.
