Bruh Sicko Mode is huge, everytime the DJ spins it in my local club everyone goes crazy. I'm honestly surprised by that. Simply because I rarely ever listen to recent music in the clubs I go to, it's usually "Macarena" or stuff like that, and that's what makes people go crazy. You hear “Macarena” in the clubs you go to? Where tf are you going? |

Breathin also didn't have a music video the first week (and when it had it's peak popularity) until the streaming and sales were already dead. |

That's one user opinions and had nothing to do with the fact that Post isn't on Drake level Drake 1st album (Thank Me Later): Platinum 1 top 10 single highest certified single: 3x platinum Post Malone 1st album (Stoney): 3x Platinum 1 top 10 single Diamond single 5x Platinum single and dont get me started with the second albums.. Drake second album won a Grammy, and Best I ever had peaked at two while congratulations peaked at 8 |

Okay, actually I do have another thought on the Drake x Post matter, and it's as follows: it's ridiculous to compare those two artists at this point in the game because there is no comparison. Drake has the backstory, the catalogue and all the records that Post couldn't possibly rack up in such a short amount of time. Not to disparage Post's contributions to the music scene, because he has clearly been flying high for a long minute, but come on - he has yet to accomplish half of what Drake has, and if gets there, to just half, he should consider himself lucky.
To compare album sales and chart stats for their first recordings is unfair. Music consumption and charting factors have changed so much, so fast in the last ten years. Also, Drake made it big in a time when pop music was on top; Post came out when hip-hop was the dominant genre, and Drake helped to make hip-hop the main genre!
And before you think I'm biased or subjective, need I remind you that I spent literally ALL of 2018 complaining about Drake?

Post’s success is good, but it’s definitely not bigger or near in anyway, he’s just way too new. It’s like comparing Rihanna & Cardi B. I’d say currently they’re both equal popularity wise, but obviously someone managing to be at the top of the game after a decade versus someone being at the top during barely two years is two different things. |
