Nope. That combination alone would lead to it being that trash for me. You're just wrong but OK. Let's see... we got monotone dullness from a dude who has run out of ideas and is overexposed... and a borderline culture vulture emo boy whose production is better than the musician himself and pretty much never had good writing. Yeah, that'll go well.

Yeah, that'll go well. Lmao culture vulture? I can't believe you're seriously using that term. There's no such thing as "culture vulture." It's just music, and anyone can make any type of music. His music has all been great so far. Can't think of a single bad hit he has had. As for Drake, there is a reason he is the king of rap. Enough said.

Apparently, 7 Rings broke the daily Spotify record with 12,214,337 first day streams. I wish I can this is true but I’ve seen this before with thank u, next on its first day and it only had like 8 or 9 million. Obviously would have like 6 million streams in the US or more if this is true. I doubt it, but #3 and #25 on AM (likely achieving over 4 million streams) on AM, plus 5-6 million on Spotify that’s 9-10 million, plus the 21.5 million YT streams (10 million which probably came from the US) that’s 20 million streams. Plus, a great first day in radio and sales were selling like it was 2017. Scooter Braun ain’t coming to play no games this era. Sheesh.

But it's obvious he's an outsider and really, has little to no respect. I don't call Chris Hart a culture vulture, because he's black and does J-pop, and I don't call Eminem one, cause they obviously does have respect for the culture they've engrossed themselves in. Post Malone does not. He does it because it's trendy. He has disavowed hip-hop before despite being at the forefront.

Random, but is there any particular reason why over this decade so many artists choose not to capitalize their own names and/or song titles?

Random, but is there any particular reason why over this decade so many artists choose not to capitalize their own names and/or song titles? It's normal for Asian countries like Japan and South Korea to do that kind of thing (though capitalizing all letters is more common). Not sure why the west has decided to do this. I always found it a bit annoying. I like writing out a song title or artist the way they stylize it, but when everyone does it in different ways, it becomes an inconsistent nightmare. I guess they want to be different, I guess?

Because of the way people Type on social media, proper grammar is becoming less and less of a necessity and artists are following the trend. It's easier to type no tears left to cry than No Tears Left To Cry afterall

these calculations girl... chill 💀 He's not wrong. With these first day Youtube and Spotify numbers. and how weak the H100 is, this looks to be a #1 debut again. A top 10 debut is pretty much certain, but a #1 debut isn't. Ariana Grande videos don't typically do well on YouTube US after their debut. Thank U Next had it's virality going for it, 7 rings doesn't. The YouTube US numbers will reduce drastically during the weekend and it's streams on Spotify US might decline drastically, too. A debut is great, but consistency is always needed to carry a song all the way to a #1 debut. 7 rings will need to continue to do well on iTunes US and have a huge radio boost to debut at #1, considering the fact that songs oiie Sunflower and Without Me are still gaining steadily on radio.

If 7 rings does hit number one, I think it will be only for one week and then it will start to drop.

Ariana Grande doesn't do well on YouTube US after a video's debut. Gonna mark this... Please do, and I'll apologize if I turn out to be wrong. All the accusations about her stealing the sound/flow of the song from other artists played a huge part in it's first day numbers because it had a lot of people checking out the song and the video to find similarities. That has died down now and people have moved on. If the song had gone viral like thank u, next did, I would have seen a #1 debut for it, but I don't see people having enough sustained interest in this song to ensure a #1 debut, sorry.

I'd certainly prefer Ariana's (by far) worst single not replace Post's best song. But it'll be close for sure. No radio til next week will hurt it

If 7 rings does hit number one, I think it will be only for one week and then it will start to drop. That's the downside to debuting a song along with it's music video in the streaming era. It'll have a large boost in streams from the music video, but if the song is to have any sort of longevity at the top of the charts after it's debut week, it'll need massive airplay and continuous massive amounts of streams to keep it going after interest in the video does down.

If 7 rings does hit number one, I think it will be only for one week and then it will start to drop. The only way it could be a multi-week number one is if the album drops on Friday, which wouldn't be too bad tbh. It would give her another week, or if it doesn't hit number one this week, give her a really good chance to get the #1

A deal next week would help it, no? That means its airplay would happen in the same chart week it debuts on the Hot 100. Seems intentional to me.

Jesus calm down lol. Its been one day, let's maybe idk wait a bit before we call it a done deal All she needs is 50 million streams, 80k sales and 15M in radio. She already has a 13.5M audience on radio in the bag, with obviously more spins today and throughout this week (should have 18 or 19M), probs 15 million streams in the US, and has already sold 45k sales on U.S. iTunes. Put it in the bag.

Some people are extremely insecure about the prospect of a woman having success. I recall this same exact discussion happening when TUN dropped.
