ARIANA GRANDE - thank u, next (134.235) ( -0.831) MAROON 5 - Girls Like You (104.208) ( -0.112) Why? Because there are no new Maroon 5 songs to replace it on playlists, whereas Ariana has 3 or 4 other songs stations can play.

"7 rings" launches well above "thank u, next" on streaming and sales. I'm guessing the video played a big part... but still impressive.
Kinda shocked that Without Me is holding off Sunflower again. I thought it was lucky to go #1 again last week but it's still above Post this week.

Biggest streaming week since Thank U, Next
Following the Jan. 18 premiere of the song and its official video, "Rings" debuts at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart with 85.3 million U.S. streams in the week ending Jan. 24, according to Nielsen Music. The sum marks the second-biggest streaming week ever for a song by a female artist, after Grande's own "Next," which drew 93.8 million,

"thank u, next" peaked on streaming with the release of the video (several weeks after release). On it's first week it drew "only" 55.5m streams.

I’d maybe compare Grande’s “Next” era to Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” era.

How many weeks did “Hero” have in the previous chart year? “Again” held on well. 5 weeks prior to the Y/E cut off date - November 27th - and only three of those weeks were spent outside the top 10. By February 5th it had spent 12 weeks in the top 10. I wonder if it would have been higher on the year-end chart had all of its weeks counted (granted, that's true of a lot of songs, though less so in 1993 when songs didn't stay on for as long as they do now).

Pretty sure JT had no top 10 entries week of Super Bowl or only 1 and sh*tty first week numbers so it should be interesting to see what M5 or Sicko Mode do.

I don't think it's problematic, and I don't need to reevaluate anything lol. It's just a completely fine flex. And I'm just giving my opinion since everyone else is giving theirs. Maybe you need a couple manly gay men to have sex with you so they can turn you gay. What’s your address? Let’s set this up shall we? That's just completely different. You're not writing a song saying how good you are. What you're saying is just weird. I feel like I need to wash my brain.

When’s the last time a song from a video game soundtrack charted on the Hot 100?
