If this song makes the pop chart this week, Ariana will have four songs on it - including the third single from her last album! That’s insane to me

39 plays of this album in full comes out to 26.65 hours. How? I'm guessing it's been on repeat since the leak... or there's been a little messing around with the numbers... which ain't hard to do. It's been on repeat since the release, + overnight plays and sometimes apple music adds extra plays that aren't supposed to be there. It's a lil' weird. Up to almost 70 plays on each song today cdsfkhskj

Is this the fastest turnaround for singles/studio album relesaes in recent memory? Lawdy, this train just won't stop. 6 solo radio singles in 10 months. Kinda crazy when you think about it. Ariana is smart to strike while the iron is hot.

I'd love to see the turnover rate increase for pop radio.

Why do established artists need to release more music for higher turnover on radio? Radio should be giving new artists a chance, especially when established pop acts aren’t releasing music. Radio stalls so many good songs below the Top 20 but will keep the same 5 songs in the Top 10 for months. Granted, callout scores probably have something to do with it since radio is still a business.

This is fine, I guess – it's the same as I feel about her last two eras: just kinda bland.
I really don't get why she's having such a big explosion right now when the material isn't really anything special. Even though she has always been doing pretty well, where was this when she was releasing bop after bop?

^Yeah, the radio support ballooned with these latest releases. You have new singles being released while one is still climbing, and radio's all over 'em.

Even though she has always been doing pretty well, where was this when she was releasing bop after bop? Her personal life has played a big part in her success. The material has played right into that. I’d also argue that the material is much more streaming-friendly. It makes me mad that “Into You” didn’t have this kind of success lol

'Breathin' goes recurrent this week, Max. Still, I hope it debuts in the Sunday morning update.

This should easily be top 50 I think, with three recurrents (Breathin/Beautiful/Electricity) and maybe two purges (Consequences/My Blood - at least one of them will disappear, I think).
With four, maybe five songs disappearing, this should get in there even if it's not in the morning update.

Radio stalls so many good songs below the Top 20 but will keep the same 5 songs in the Top 10 for months. Granted, callout scores probably have something to do with it since radio is still a business. Kind of interesting comparison/contrast with urban. That format moves quite fast - the way Ariana is moving with her singles rn wouldn't feel at all out of place there - but newer artists still have a hard time breaking through there, maybe even harder than on CHR sometimes, precisely because of the established artists releasing frequently and getting priority. If it's Drake season for example, your chances of getting into the top 10 are almost cut in half by default. If your song takes too long to move, chances are it will die before it has a chance as the next batch of superstar releases will flush it out on their way up. And where callout might unfairly make or break even a pop favorite's new single, urban callouts are so high for almost all songs at any given time that the numbers are virtually useless and give you no edge. Pop does need to rotate faster, but if new blood is what you want, 'top' artists releasing more frequently is not the way to go about it; that would hurt more than help.

Her personal life definitely is playing a part in her huge success right now, to me she’s “selling” her songs right now. Her past songs leaned a bit too femme, breakup/emo songs are in right now

This is catchy as hell, the chorus & all the post-chorus layers ("Girlfriend") gets stuck in your head and never comes out. It's not an inmmediate track but it's very infectious.

This was not as instant as "thank u, next" but it's a jam. Rooting for it to be her third #1 on the Hot 100 tbh.

4 songs in the top 50, wow! Shame it'll only last a few hours. Would've been amazing if "breathin" managed to remain top ten and we could've had this happen on the published chart. But alas, "breathin" goes recurrent tonight. :( BUT could she pull off four in the top 40 on Billboard's chart? Isn't their recurrent rule still 20/20 instead of 20/10 like Mediabase? This could in theory just make it to the top 40 before "breathin" goes recurrent on Billboard's pop airplay chart.

I think it's 20/15 on Billboard. IDK if Ari can manage 4 at once given how big the losses for 'Breathin' still are.

This is laughable and sounds as manufactured and soulless as a pop song in 2019 could possibly be, like the rest of the album. Tossed my stan card. I'm going to miss the Yours Truly/My Everything AG.

This is great, and as much as I love bloodline I hope they give it at least three months before even considering another single.
