• Is Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” vying for a second consecutive week at #1?
• Will J.Cole’s “Middle Child” ascend from its current position of #26 to the top three?
• Will Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” become the third song in Hot 100 history to reach 32 weeks in the top ten following Leann Rimes’ “How Do I Live” and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You”?

I personally think #1 is possible for middle child. Why? It's already fallen behind on iTunes and Spotify.

Not to mention that 7 Rings has a video and decent airplay.
MC will be top ten probably though.

Artist ranking - Number of Top Ten’s & Weeks in the Top Ten (2010’s).
[02/09/2019]
1. Rihanna - 19 (217) 2. Bruno Mars - 15 (207) 3. Maroon 5 - 11 (154) 4. Drake - 31 (151) 5. Katy Perry - 11 (143) 6. Justin Bieber - 14 (128) 7. Nicki Minaj - 17 (123) 8. Taylor Swift - 17 (113) 9. Ed Sheeran - 6 (87) 10. The Weeknd - 8 (83) 11. Ariana Grande - 12 (81) 12. Kesha - 10 (80) 13. Flo Rida - 7 (76) 14. Adele - 6 (76) 15. Pitbull - 8 (75) 16. Lady Gaga - 11 (73) 17. Post Malone - 6 (72) 18. Cardi B - 6 (69) 19. The Chainsmokers - 5 (66) 20. Imagine Dragons - 4 (64) * * *
The Hot 100 Artist of the Decade will definitely be between Rihanna and Drake with Bruno Mars closing out the top three.
Presently:
• Rihanna - Most Number One’s of the 2010’s & Most Weeks in the Top Ten. [Second Most Weeks at Number One & Second Most Top Tens also].
• Drake: Most Weeks At Number One In The 2010’s, Most Top Ten’s & Most Consecutive Weeks on the Hot 100 overall.
With the current formula change and depending on whom goes on to score the biggest hits on the chart this year, it’ll be very close.

I personally think #1 is possible for middle child. Perhaps in a few weeks if it’s streams remain steady and if “7 Rings” decreases faster...

I wonder if Middle Child will be J. Cole's "Humble".

It's kinda strange how "Tequilia" peaked at #18 on airplay in July 2018, dropped out of the Hot 100 in December 2018, and we're almost into February 2019 and it's #12 on airplay :/

So it's airplay peak was it's actual peak (I may be remembering wrong though!)

Middle Child could have easily debuted top five if he had released it on a Friday. But streams are already slowing down :/ hopefully he can at least make top 10/15, I really like the song.

I could see Middle Child at #4 or #5 next week. He's still #1 on AM and leading 7 rings by a thin margin on Spotify. We will see how he holds up the next few days though.

How do you think "Shallow" will fare due to its boost from this week?

There's been some rumours that Sweet Victory might be played at the halftime show. It would be great to see it chart.

Almost 2.8 million streams for 7 rings on Spotify. I can see another week at #1 with sales remaining decently high as well. Glad she's finally having great success.

How do you think "Shallow" will fare due to its boost from this week? What boost? It's gained a bit sales-wise but radio completely crashed down. So it's probably gonna be steady-ish. I can see it entering top 20 again with the Grammys and Oscars but a new peak doesn't seem doable... at least for now. Almost 2.8 million streams for 7 rings on Spotify. I can see another week at #1 with sales remaining decently high as well. Glad she's finally having great success. I know we were all thirsty for a pop lady to spend some time at #1... but "finally having great success"? Save for "Everyday" which honestly shouldn't have been a single, all of Ariana's singles have peaked inside top 15 since she broke into the mainstream with "Problem". Even during Dangerous Woman she outranked every other female singer but Rihanna in terms of streams IIRC.

Yes of course I realize she's been having success on the charts since 2014, but with "thank u, next" and "7 rings" Ariana has broken all kinds of Spotify and Youtube records. Her career has been on a steep upward trend recently.

There’s nothing close to “GLY” making big gains in airplay. It’s crazy how not much is gaining traction in airplay. It will be top 10 for awhile.
