With Happier's unexpected rise, could the 2 Chain remix have provided 7R's with just enough extra juice to stay #1? It was released on the first day of this tracking week.

Nice for Marshmello and Bastille, but if they get such a huge boost from a Fortnite concert, does that mean record labels are constantly going to be trying to do this for promoting their singles now?

So far, it's worked for Fortnite and Kingdom Hearts, to give a song traction. I wouldn't be surprised if we get more popular artists doing tie-ins for other popular JRPG series or shooters.

It did get some streaming/sales. I'm just wondering if it made a difference with unanticipated Happier surge. The article didn't mention the % gap between the two songs.

all my friends should be sent to pop radio, it has the atmosphere of rockstar and would probably do well.

As much as I dislike Fortnite's obnoxious online presence but Happier's boost is awesome
It is the one Marshmello song I actually love mainly cause of Bastille
Aside from that, Marshmello is both smart but a sellout for heavily associating himself with the game imo

Jodran Davis has a second 10-spot increase in a row, as "Take It From Me" jumps 68-58, after rising 78-68 last week.

Both him and the label knew what they were doing. Also, every artist sells out. Unless you are performing free shows and giving out your music for free and not selling merch than you are effectively a sellout, you are selling a product. Which no duh, musicians need to pay the rent too.

He and Ninja won a massive charity event together last spring, so he's been quite the presence in the community for quite a time now. If you are associating yourself with a game you enjoy spending a lot of time playing, does that make you a sellout?

Which no duh, musicians need to pay the rent too. That's not what a "sellout" is. There's a difference between being commercial, and being a sellout. In the case of music, it's giving up artistic integrity or authenticity in exchange for personal gain. An example is a genre change (often to mainstream pop), not because they actually like the sound, but because it makes them money. Same with toning down lyrics to make them generic and less detailed.

Checking Marshmello's chart history, "Alone" actually re-entered at #28, not #29. #29 is "Taki Taki".

Better Now 19-21 with 41 weeks, coming for a year... I hope so, Post has great longevity, but has yet to have a song reach 52 weeks on the chart.

Only two debuts and four re-entries... very quiet week.
Last week there was only two debuts was the Billboard Hot 100 issue dated March 3, 2018.
