I’m stunned they’re releasing this considering I heard the 4th album was just about finished. Kip said to expect it this summer. Now we’re prob looking at Fall 2020.
Great song though, hope it smashes. Complete jam. It’l gets by FAR the biggest concert reaction

Best song on the album but I'm wondering if it's a wise choice. I think a lead would've been best for Kip but I'll be glad to see this song see some chart action regardless of how little I think it'll ultimately get.

Here are Billy Dukes' tweets:
As a huge Kip fan, I am pumped because I absolutely love "The Bull". This song and "Blonde" are my absolute favorites off of Slowheart. Disappointing that this will delay new music. To quote another one of my favorites, "happy and sad at the same time".

Great song, a good one to listen to while working out. Bad choice for radio though, they will not play this one. It will be polarizing since it’s different and more of a rock song, and will flame out in the 40s.

Fantastic song (and a PERFECT song to run to) but I can't imagine the average listener loving or even liking this. The references to his record label, etc won't work. I hope I am wrong because I am obsessed with Kip's music.

I remember when this song was released originally as a preview track, it made me think Kip was going to slay in terms of quality. But Slowheart is full of songs that sound the same... except for The Bull, which is great. Hopefully he follows this style in the future if he really thinks this one represents him.

This song could very well anchor his next album. It’s not unfathomable for it to happen. It’s a smash waiting to happen and has so much character to it.

What an odd decision. This song is okay, but the melody has never really worked for me, and I never thought it made sense as a radio single. Slowheart is a year and half old, so the upside probably isn't all that high. Even if this hits, it would likely take a 30-40 week commitment from the label, pushing his new album into 2020. I root for Kip, but frankly I was looking forward to new music.

I’m hoping that excellent music video could help things. I will say, for as long as Slowheart has been out, this song is the one that always seemed to have the most buzz.

This is weird. I figured he’d have a lead single coming out next, but I guess not. Which means we’re looking at 6-9 more months before hearing new material.
I like this song a lot. I’ve had it on my personal playlist for a long time. But with that being said, I can’t see it doing well at radio, which is unfortunate.
The entire premise of the song is giving a big F U to everyone that bet against him, and I feel like radio did in a way. After the Up All Night album, radio basically ditched him. He went his own way and eventually led to this. I can’t help but thinking that part of the Bull is country radio...

This is a great song, really well written and a nice sentiment. I don't see it doing much at radio, though, and if they had to go with another from this album I thought it should be 'Bittersweet Company.'

I love him (and this song) but I’m kind of nervous about this being a single.

If they went with another single I figured it would either be this or “Plead The Fifth”. I’m glad they chose this one.

4th most added song with 26 adds for add week.
I really don't get why they released this. "Last Shot" took forever and a hand basket to make it as high as it did. Maybe none of the new music Kip Moore has made the label thinks is radio friendly, but they need something out on radio for the time being.

I kind of like this, but I would like it a lot more if Kip had a decent singing voice.

26 adds is pretty poor. The Bull won’t be riding very long. Bring on new music. Love this song but it’s just not gonna be a hit.

I'm guessing they figured a big hit would require a year of pushing a song up the charts, so they opted for a "thank you" song for the fans to tide them over till the next cycle.

I'm a huge fan of Kip. Not sure having his song bomb is the, "thank you" I wanted.

I think the success of the “Room to Spare” EP may have delayed new studio music. The fans are absolutely loving that, plus he extended the tour into late spring.
And also, really wanna see It Ain’t California make it on a studio album. Get that song on the radio.

I like this song but it has never been a favorite from the album. Hoping this is just something being thrown out there for a couple months before releasing new music because I really want some new music (and am still bitter that "Bittersweet Company" was never a single.)

The latest from Kip debuts on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart this week at #57.

Yeah there’s no way this does anything.
The album is going to be 100% finished next week. This is probably done soon.

The Bull was never going to do much for him. I'm excited for new stuff but considering how long his singles climb the chart we probably won't get the album till next year (assuming his label decides to release to still release it)

I’m betting the reason is because there are a lot of country stations called “the bull” and if you are a competitor of that station do you really want your DJ’s saying “the bull” on your station.
