The first song is literally better than both of the singles already.

How the hell do you release ME! and YNTCD when you have a perfect song like Cruel Summer on the album?

A few more random thoughts:
"False God" is sexy af.
"Cornelia Street" gives me "All Too Well" vibes (not that they sound similar at all, maybe the crisp, sceneic lyrical descriptions).
"Cruel Summer", "Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince", "The Man", "I Forgot That You Existed", "I Think He Knows", and "London Boy" are the radio darlings.
"I Think He Knows" is very "Hands To Myself"
"Soon You'll Get Better" is Lover's depressive "Never Grow Up", "The Best Day".
Listening to everything else, "The Archer" would have nestled in even stronger with more of a punch in the production.
Echo sentiments that the "kids choir" in "It's Nice To Have A Friend" is completely overexaggerated.
LOVE "Afterglow"
"Daylight" is a take it or leave it for me before 2:10 hits.
Lover is so much stronger/more immediate even than Reputation. People are gonna love it. I don't even care if it flops at this point as she delivered quality material in spades.

BTD/Melodrama comparisons are high praise, but right up my alley. Can't wait to listen at midnight!

I am getting Lana Del Rey Born To Die vibes on quite a few songs. Yay! Taylor in Lana drag is my favorite Taylor--Wildest Dreams, Sad Beautiful Tragic, etc.

"The Man" is SO good. I am loving that she went there - if ANYONE can sing a song about sexism in the entertainment industry, its her. And she does it so well.

I don't even know what a "reputation" is after listening to this masterpiece.

Can't wait to hear the whole album tomorrow. It doesn't matter what type of artist it is, I love listening to big event type of albums.

Early impressions - I disliked reputation from the first listening, and I find this album a lot more balanced. I still don't known how they pick the singles I can only imagine they have been picked out of a hat, only that justifies the songs they went with. The Archer would fit this album better with a different production but overall a strong album. Early favourites are Miss Americana, Paper Hearts, Cornelia Street and Soon You'll Get Better - but hopefully not the future singles. I really hope she gets a 1M+ debut, this album deserves it.

How is it this queen takes a seemingly simple line like "you like the nicer nurses" and makes me SOB? MY GOSH. <3

The Man should have been the first single, imo. Would have been the perfect opening statement.
Better be next after Cruel Summer.

Do we think they are pushing "Lover" next with its video premiere today? If so, jesus.

The positive reviews are giving me high hopes. Love the hype over "Cruel Summer" since I was looking forward to it most. Also shocked to see the "I Think He Knows" love, since sessioners were silent about it, some saying it was the worst off the album but I've also learned not to trust them.
Also intrigued about the Lorde/Lana inspired vibes on some of the songs. Y'all got me even more excited for "Miss Americana".
Hows "Death By A Thousand Cuts"? Not much word on it.
Also quite intrigued about "Paper Rings" as well. Feelings seem to be mixed right now so I'm excited to hear it. It was one of my more anticipated tracks based off what the sessioners said.

"I Think He Knows" love, since sessioners were silent about it, some saying it was the worst off the album but I've also learned not to trust them. It has a "Hands To Myself" vibe, definitely not the worst or even one of them. One of the tracks I would most likely take off to strengthen the album even more along with "It's Nice To Have A Friend" and "Me!". This album's "Holy Ground" IMO. Punk vibe. Grower for me.

Shame. "Death By A Thousand Cuts" was one of the tracks I was looking forward to most, but based off lyrical terms it seems nice. I'll have to wait and see how it is though! Also I love "Holy Ground", I can see me liking "Paper Rings".
