I'm gonna bomb you with questions as soon as they pop in my head. How does the album flow tracklist-wise? She's made some bizarre choices in the past.

I’m only allowing myself to listen to Cruel Summer until the release. I gotta say...it’s a Blank Space level pop masterpiece. I don’t understand how it didn’t lead the album campaign.

"Paper Rings" might be my favorite. I also love "Cornelia Street", "The Man", "I Forgot That You Existed" and "I Think He Knows".
I think if she cut 4 songs and made it a 14 song collection, it could be her best album. The 4 I'd toss are 'False God" (I hate this one), "Nice to have A Friend" (unnecessary song but inoffensive enough), "Archer" (so out of place here production-wise) and "ME!" (although I like it more than YNTCD).

I'm trying to read as less comments as possible but Austin saying that "The Archer" is out of place production-wise is a bummer cause it's become one of my favorite songs ever and I was hoping to receive more songs close to it sonically.

Anyone knows when will it be available in Spotify in Europe? I see that the video for Lover premieres in two hours, could it be that the album becomes accessible around that time?

All of these comments have even made me interested in this album. The only Taylor album I’ve ever bought before was 1989, which I enjoy, but otherwise I’m not a fan by any means. Is this for me? Should I? It's really nothing like she has done before but the closest was definitely 1989. The production is slick and very polished and lyrics do cut through glass this time around. I'd say the overall sound is 1989 mixed with Born To Die, it's that kind of breezy airy pop. So yeah... definitely go for it. She also pushes the edges quite some times and ventures into stuff she hasn't really tried before. False God is a very good attempt at a sultry alternative/R&B song in my opinion and It's Nice to Have A Friend is so strange and good at the same time. |

I am soooo hyped! At 2pm for me this shall be released, so I've got one period of school (Which I may or may not listen to some there haha) and then to mums work where we'll listen to the album from start to finish together.  |

Only three tracks in and I'm gonna let "Lover" play because I love it that much. "I Forgot You Existed" feels like filler tbh, but it's pleasant enough.
"Cruel Summer" is great.

Are the songs where Taylor's the sole producer more acoustic? I believe she was only sole writer and never sole producer. Also, St Vincent wrote on Cruel Summer but as far as I know, had no hand in the production. |
