Just did my first listen to It's All Relative. Gonna have to give it a couple more spins before I attempt a list. It's a very vanilla album on first listen. Nothing outright bad, but nothing that stands out as career bests like some of the tracks on her early albums.
I actually ordered a cd for Rhinestoned a few months ago in anticipation of this rankdown! I went home for Christmas and left the cd across the state though... So I'll stick it in my car when I get home tomorrow and use it as my driving music the next couple weeks :)

It's All Relative is definitely a different album for her and does not have the same charm of her other albums. I do think Rhinestoned is a stronger album but I don't think she has released an album as strong as any of her 90s ones unfortunately. Interested to see if anyone feels differently than I do when we get to the reveals for these albums plus the others that come afterwards. Not gonna do a reminder today cause I've yet to receive my first list but hopefully people will jump in soon!

Where has this Pam been that I’m hearing on It’s All Relative?!? I can only guess that this album will more than likely be on the polarizing side, but I think she sounds as good as she ever has. It also helps that she sounds so laid-back and comfortable in what she’s singing. Such a breath of fresh air to hear this one! On a side note, “Burning Out” is “Burning Memories”

"Someone Somewhere Tonight" is one of my favorite vocals of her entire career, with all of its intricate nuances.

I will really try to do this. At this point, I don’t think I’ll be able to get to it until Thursday or Friday though. I will do my absolute best to get it to you by Friday.

never mind im sorry. i remember why i didn't do this before. i dont like either album. its not worth me ranking them. Pam's a very hit or miss for me and, most of if not all of these two are misses. so im staying out of these 2.

What song will be #1? I'm thinking this is "Unmitigated Gall"'s to lose. It has the benefit of single bias on its side (despite being such a flop that probably none of us even associate it with the radio, lmao). But also it just has such a catchy arrangement to it, it is a real standout on this album. Which songs will make up the Top 5? "Unmitigated Gall", "So Wrong" (people might rank it higher because of Randy Travis' hit), "Mental Revenge", "Burning Memories", and "I Ain't Never". (I have no idea how these will actually play out, but I'm hoping at least 3/5 of them can make it in!) What song will be in last place? It's gotta be that cheesy album closer with her father and all those children... "Come On And Sing"...... Which songs will make up the bottom 3? "Come On And Sing", and I really don't know what else... I found "Detroit City" to be kinda boring. Maybe "Emotions" as well? Although I'm hoping that one can do better for her vocal performance alone!!! Any other thoughts/comments? I'm still not quite sure what to make of this album. I still think the song choices are kinda vanilla, but I echo what tim has said about her vocals being better than ever at this point in her career... I have a feeling that I will come to appreciate certain songs a lot more once I know what the top-ranked album tracks will be and I get to put them on shuffle alongside all her other top album tracks!

It's All Relative was pretty damn mediocre imo, lol. No idea how to predict anything regarding it.

What song will be #1? "Heart Over Mind"
Which songs will make up the Top 5? "Heart Over Mind", "Unmitagated Call", "So Wrong", "Burning Memories", and "I Ain't Never"
What song will be in last place? "Goodbye Wheeling"
Which songs will make up the bottom 3? "Goodbye Wheeling", "Come On and Sing", "Detroit City"
Any other thoughts/comments? It's kind of hard to predict what to expect given that we have so few participants, so I'm sure there's going to be some surprises and disappointments all mixed in (and on that note I hope y'all didn't tank my #1 song!). I personally quite enjoyed this album as I not only thought that Pam sounded great but also very relaxed.

I’m sad to see “Emotions” out first. I was entranced by her vocal to this one, especially with how low she goes when singing the title!!! Pam really doesn’t get enough credit for how HUGE her range is. I’ll have to double check later, but I don’t even think we’ve heard Reba go that low, and she’s typically known for having a powerful low range. For someone with as high of a voice as Pam has to sing so low out of the blue is an extreme Celine Dion-level flex that female country artists simply are not known to give.

Wait what happened to someguy’s list??? thanks for pointing that out, I honestly thought I had already added his list and forgot to double check lol. "Emotions" is still last place even with his rank, I'll have it updated momentarily

"Emotions" is probably the worst Pam Tillis song I've ever heard.

“Emotions” was one of the few songs on the album I didn’t care for at all, so I’m glad to see it leave it first. I was actually going to put it into my predictions as leaving in last place, but for some reason I was thinking I would be in the minority on disliking it. Obviously that wasn’t the case lol.

I knew this song would do terribly but I enjoyed it for what it is. I struggled to enjoy most of these songs so this one just had a little more life than most of the album for me.
I'm gonna leave off here, due to needing to redo all of the graphics I don't have time to do anymore results but I'm gonna try and finish the reveals tomorrow!

I actually kind of enjoyed “Come On and Sing”, but I knew that there would be a couple who’d find it to be cheesy so it was likely always destined for the bottom 2.

I didn't hate this because it at least had some semblance of a pulse and personality to it, which was enough to keep it out of my bottom 3. That said, still not worth a revisit.
