It's weird... I was a relatively big Incubus fan, have their albums and liked them, and now I could care less about them. I just totally lost my interest, but I guess if the music is good, as it should be, they shouldn't have a problem regaining my interest.
I guess it's because I associate them with 2001 or so, which now looking back I decided is my least favorite musical year and I tend be turned off my acts of that time. LOL I don't know.

That's awesome. The wait has been long enough to hear new stuff from them.

I am glad to hear that Incubus is releasing n a new cd. I have all of there cd's and I think they are one of the better "rock" bands out there. I would actually consider them more alternative than rock though.

Wow, looks like either nursery rhymes or Counting Crows inspired them with this title! ;) Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I just think it's cool that Incubus and KMFDM have a song title in common. But then again, "Son of a Gun" will never be mistaken for the Janet version if you ever hear it. I'm interested, although I hope it's more interesting or edgy than anything from Morning View. I'm not saying that it's a bad album at all, but it's not as fun to listen to as the other stuff from them that I've heard. Or, SingingSparrow, they could have even called it A Murder of the Crow

I agree with you Halo. I liked "Morining View" but I found it a bit boring compared to "Make Yourself" and "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." I still say "Paradon Me" is their best single to date.

That's easily my favorite of the Morning View singles. However, every Make Yourself single is top-notch, and it includes "Pardon Me" which is one of my all-time favorite songs, and even comes on alternatives like KSYY and the like. I like both the studio and acoustic versions of "Stellar". "Drive" is a great song as well, although it's a little overrated. But at least it's good and I can see why. I thought "New Skin" was very good, as well as the rest of S.C.I.E.N.C.E., which I liked equally as much as MY.

Forgive me if I say that "Drive" is my favorite Incubus single. It may not be as complex as the rest of their stuff from Make Yourself, but it's so excellent in its simplicity.
I think Morning View is awesome as well, and the fact that it's not as hard as their former albums isn't a detriment at all in my opinion.
Anyone know when this song will hit radio?

They're stuck on nine radio singles, so there hasn't been a top ten topic for them.
1. Drive 2. Warning 3. Wish You Were Here 4. Stellar 5. Pardon Me 6. Are You In? 7. New Skin 8. Nice To Know You 9. Circles [green](which I love)[/green]
I wish they would have gone 4 deep on Make Yourself. "The Warmth" would've made for another kick-ass single.
And I think Brandon Boyd is very underappreciated as a songwriter. He seems to have mastered writing strong, feel-good songs about life in general, while the band already has their own highly infectious trademark sound. Incubus is easily one of Alternative's best bands.

I can't wait to hear the whole cd

Can't wait to hear this song and get their cd. Personally, my favorite Incubus song has to be "Warning."

From the name of the album it sounds like it could have a little bit of a darker sound. Brandon Boyd was on K-Rock the other day talking about his book called "White Fluffy Clouds". Mostly drawings and a book about his opinions of the world. It was a pretty funny interview.

I finally heard this today (studio version). It's somewhat different from Incubus' other stuff, but it's still awesome. ^_^

I love it. Different stuff coming from Incubus. People might find this comparison weird, but Brandon Boyd's vocals on the chorus remind me of Brian Molko, particularly in the era of Placebo's self-titled album. Provided, it kind of reminds me of Geddy Lee's vocals. Structured really brilliant.
You know something awesome? This morning, my local CC station played "Behind The Sun" by RHCP and then played this song. That is so awesome!

Thanks for the links Control. I like it, like everyone else who has responded so far. This should be a top 5, probably.
Control, just wondering, what makes you an Incubus fan when (judging by your personal chart) you don't like a lot of rock music?

It's definitely possible to be #5 by your third week of airplay, judging by these songs: R.E.M. - E-Bow The Letter: 17-4-1 U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me: 16-3-1 U2 - Discotheque: 3-1-1Bush - Swallowed: 42-5-2 Live - Lakini's Juice: 4-2-2Pearl Jam - Who You Are: 15-5-2 Counting Crows - Angels Of The Silences: 24-5-3 Cranberries - Salvation: 20-4-3 Green Day - J.A.R.: 28-10-3 Pearl Jam - Given To Fly: 6-3-3 U2 - Staring At The Sun: 13-7-3 Green Day - Geek Stink Breath: 17-5-4 Dave Matthews Band - Don't Drink The Water: 37-6-4 Pearl Jam - I Got Id: 28-9-4 Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue: 17-5-4 Stone Temple Pilots - Big Bang Baby: 5-4-4Oasis - D'You Know What I Mean: 25-9-5 Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet With Butterfly Wings: 15-6-5 Smashing Pumpkins - The End Is The Beginning Is The End: 45-13-5 Of course, it wouldn't be as impressive as the debuts that the songs in bold made.

Just listen to this song and I remember hearing the description for their album and it was really strange, they said something along the lines of it would sound like it would before their first album or something like that. This song is gonna take off and it's really good. It already is. It passed My Immortal *shouts obscenities*, and is already taking the beeline into the top 40.

thanks for the link Control! I've been dying to hear this, and thanks to you, I did now! Anyway, I like this but it's not as melodic as I was expecting from Incubus.
