I don't wanna point fingers but there's a certain person here on Pulse that loves making outlandish predictions that don't make any sense

I don't know where should i ask this. Does anyone know why many of the biggest drops from #1 were from 1974? Out of the ten biggest drops from #1, 7 are from that year Some theories From the late 1960s Up to mid 1973 - The Hot 100 top 50 was a sales only chart creating volatility most notably in 1974 Also DJs would remove the song from its playlist at the time it hit #1, throwing a bit of a curve into the airplay numbers I also remember reading somewhere that in that era the charts were notoriously corrupt and the chart manager was willing to manipulate things for the right price, although I don't have a source. And more number one turnover means more songs to promote as number one. |

Looks like they should have an insane first/second day on YT with views from their lead single off their new album plus their performance video from SNL the next day. Will be the first Korean-act to hit #1, let alone band. All this chaos will be happening around April 12th.

Honestly at this point if their isn’t a big debut I think the next number one will either be Wow or Please Me. I like that their seems to be a different #1 every week. Last year it got exhausting seeing the same songs at the top for weeks on end.

I love how people complain that the charts are boring after one week without huge new releases. The year contains 52 weeks so it's not even possible that every week something that goes straight to #1 is released.

Weird that I still don't know "Sicko Mode". It's a really good song. I didn't like it much the first time I heard it, I preferred some of the other songs from the album, but it's been one of my most-listened songs from the past few months. It's like 3 separate songs attached together in a medley lol. |

Maroon 5 released a lyric version of the GLY video trying to get that 34th week. They also got three more weeks at #1 after releasing GLY 2.0 on YouTube (two of these weeks it was competing for #1 with SICKO MODE). |

You're all acting so shocked... this is the same dude that has been selling T-Shirts and making them count for the Billboard 200 since his album dropped.
The week SM went #1 it was also helped by a remix they had dropped that week IIRC.
His team really knows how to play the chart game and I can't fault them for that.
