Just heard this and it sounds so much harder than any of his singles I can remember. I'm into it.

Has a lot of rock elements. It doesn't sound like anything Blake has released in the last decade plus. It could be polarizing, it's definitely not safe

Well, nobody can say he played it safe this time around. This is something very different from him. At first I didn't really like it, but I see it growing on me? It's kind of like a harder, more fierce sounding "Ol' Red", or Blake trying to recreate Eric Church's "The Outsiders". That being said, I would not be shocked at all if this stalls out in the teens and flops for him. I give him credit for coming back with something original sounding though.

After like 5 years of basically mailing all of his singles in, it appears he finally went a little “out there” for a song. Respect. Pretty solid tune.

This is really good. I always prefer more country production but I'll take this over pop production. It's heavy but he delivers it well. I think this will race up and be a good seller but radio may keep it out of the top 5. Glad he didn't mail it in!

Definitely see the comparison to “The Outsiders.” It’s a little too shouty for me in some parts but I’m really glad to see him take a risk, finally. As much as I love his singles catalog, he’s been long overdue for something like this.
Sadly I also see this as his worst performing lead in quite a while but I’d love to be proven wrong.

I keep wanting to sing along to “Brand New Man” when this chorus starts. The song grows on me more and more after each listen. Glad he gave Hardy and Devin Dawson a cut. Should have an interesting run

Not as country as I typically prefer, but hell at least it won't be confused with pop. Honestly it gave me chills when I first heard and I love it more each time I listen. Good job Blake.

Now #1 on iTunes overall, knocking out shallow for a second

Listened to this a few times and it gets better each time. I agree with others that radio may not embrace it but I feel like the sales will likely put them in a position where they might have to play it. This is a great effort by Blake Shelton.

This is amazing. Finally Blake changed it up! Hopefully this doesn’t flop... it’s very in-your-face.

I'll preface this by saying I am very happy that he did not phone this in - it's definitely a departure for him, and it's a welcome one. It's nice to hear an energy to his vocals.
That said, the song is doing very little for me. Not my cup o' tea and that's okay.

I really like this. Different production and his vocals are intense!!
The “dogs runnin” line kinda bugs me as a chorus line ender, but it works.
Kudos to him for stepping out of his comfort zone. Hardy is going to dominate country for the next 3 years.

I really like and respect how he’s out of his comfort zone and doing something different here that feels more authentic. Unfortunately I don’t love the song itself, but I’m really glad that he’s doing something different and hope that he continues down this path.

This is definitely the Blake I've been waiting to hear for years now. This has been getting hourly spins on iHeart radio today and the more I hear this, the more I like it. I'm looking forward to Blake's new cd.

Woahhhhh. This is good. Really good.
Vintage Blake with a modern soulful sound... Fantastic single, should do very well. Should make for some long-awaited quality live performances. Blake is always vocally great, but boring music can only translate so well live, so I’m looking forward to some passion and soul in his live performances.
But yeah, this is very good.

Woah. This is delicious. I wasn't expecting to like this, because I find most of his work to be dreadful, but this is GREAT. Love how dark it is and the rock influence it has. Definitely my type of song.
