To honor Mimi's birthday...
These 2 songs are among my favorites by her... I know wthat many do not like them or consider them highlights
but I just love the lyrics and melody of these two and themes are similar
which were instant favs on both albums
Which one you prefer?
Lullaby from Charmbraclet
or
For the Record from MC2

"Lullaby". Never liked "For The Record". Sounded like it was produced by an amateur in Fruity Loops (like a lot of its parent album).

Ohhh I love both.
"Lullaby" is a MOOD and I randomly catch myself humming the "hey boy what's going on thanks I'm doing okay..." melody often.
"For The Record" is sublime and with its intro, bridge and the violins quite different from "Thanx 4 Nothin'" / "Last Kiss" / "Love Story" / "Bye Bye," which all sound alike more or less. Also, love the references to past songs.

Lullaby is basically part 2 of The Roof
We all know The Roof is fan favorite I don't know why this song is not even close to being the favorite

"Lullaby" easily. Just a super sexy track.
"For The Record" is a solid song, but LORD the production is so bad (like so much of E=MC2).

I forgot what "Lullaby" sounded like and when I went back and listened I kind of remember it and like it. I still go with "For The Record" though. I loved it at the time. I have a feeling I slept on "Lullaby" though. I have a feeling at the time the whisper vocals were a deterrent. I'm so over that now and will probably go back to this track a lot more.

I like Lullaby, but For The Record has always been my favorite from the get go.
