This is their new single from their soon to be released cd, 'Start Something.' I heard this song recently, and it's awesome. What do you think of it / predictions?

I'm looking forward to hearing it. The two singles I heard from their previous album were underrated, and I took a listen to one of the songs from their new album ("Burn Burn") and it was pretty good.

It was only a b-side, but their version of View To A Kill was one of the most entertaining covers I've heard yet. Ian Watkins is a dead ringer for LeBon at the beginning of that song.
As far as their debut album was concerned...I wasn't impressed.

They shot a video for "Burn Burn" too. Way to waste whatever funding that was available on a non-radio-friendly album cut.
The new album will be a first-day-out purchase for me.

The song is actually called "Last Train Home."
Surprisingly, I've already heard this. Wednesday night, as I drove home through St. Louis, it was #2 on KPNT's most requested countdown that night. Tonight it was #3.
It doesn't sound like any sub-genre of rock. It's surprisingly "softer" than any song on their debut. (The guitars aren't as heavy with distortion.) And I don't know how I feel about this yet, but it's the most commercial song I've ever heard from them. You can't even tell it's them until they get to the pre-chorus and then you think, "Hey wait, this sounds a lot like Ian from the Lostprophets." (The first time I heard it, it wasn't pre-identified at all.) It's got a great chorus, though. The backup vocals in the chorus give the song a more anthemic feel like the boys in AFI do in say, "This Celluloid Dream."
If I had time to post my Top 40 this week, you'd see this song at #46. I'm not sure I'll get to hear it again before returning to Memphis, but you can be sure it's gonna make the Top 40 next week, since I've already heard it twice.
Based on this and "Burn Burn" (the U.K. single), I'm not sure what this record's gonna sound like, but naturally, I'll be buying it with Incubus when they both come out.
This should be their time to break through, based on the new stuff. If "Last Train Home" doesn't earn them at least a U.S. Top 20, then we've got a big problem in this country.

I don't think I've ever heard a Lostprophets song. I can't believe it's the greatest gainer.

You can bet this song's gonna be huge. This is my first time listening to it, but it's got a sound to it that might actually have a crossover appeal to it.

I don't like this as much as their other singles or "Burn Burn". But it's still pretty good and they were hosed off their last album, so I'm happy for 'em. Whatever gets them off the ground, I guess.

I liked their first cd. A solid debut. I love the first single and actually thought it was Midnight Oil back with a harder sound. I havent heard the new one yet and dont expect to hear it in NJ since KROCK in NYC barely touched them the last time.

Wxrk jumped on board this week.
It's still the greatest gainer, at +337 at the moment.
If I don't hear this by the end of the year on any of my three stations that should be playing this, I will learn to become an arsonist.

I will learn to become an arsonist. What's to learn? I haven't heard this yet...but dammit, all this buzz is getting me too psyched.

How to get away with it, I guess. You like talking about being a criminal. You already talked about stealing "Steal This Album."

Just heard this for the first time on K-Rock (NYC). It's quality. I brought me in on the first listen. I can see this going Top 5 easily.

I'm liking it more each time I hear it. It reminds me of "seein' red" by unwritten law. I agree that this will probably crossover to hotac and chr/pop.

I got the studio version on WinMX moments ago. Finally, it is out there. I can't believe it took so long, being that three months ago I was able to find "Burn Burn" without any trouble at all.
I can sure see the Unwritten Law in this song. Back when "Burn Burn" was being released in Europe I was at their websight and Ian commented on how much he loves how, on their message board, there's comparisons to so many bands (I was right in there saying the song sounded like AFI and The Hives). There's not one single band that you can categorize them with, and that's one of the reasons why this band rules.

I'm retracting this statement because I just found out that, basically, Lostprophets is to Europe what Linkin Park is to the US (in terms of popularity). S**t, Ian drives a Ferarri. You don't just get those from a #32 radio single and an album that probably never even made the top 100. They can do whatever they want in Europe...they own that continent.

Yeah they come from Pontypridd, South Wales. Interesting fact. I would have never guessed because they sound absolutely nothing like most UK rock acts... at least not to me.

WTF? This link was up for fifteen days before I finally decided to go to AllAccess and listen to it? It's sad to say that Good Charlotte/Simple Plan/etc. have opened the door for this song to get crossover success (not that it doesn't deserve it -- I like it a lot -- but just look at "Seein' Red" a year and a half ago).

How do you figure that? This sound nothing like that type of music at all... it sounds more AFI than Good Charlotte to me (not even saying it sounds like AFI)
