Breathin was a FIGHTER!.. She survived in the top 20 for so long even though Sweetener era was over and TUN was leading Hot 100, gaining across all metrics, therefore slowing Breathin down.

Dancing with a Stranger has literally no such competition and is gaining amazingly well at radio, so I think it's more feasible for her to crack top ten than it was for breathin.

I don't think same people stream both versions for the sake of streaming it though, Lil Nas is not that big of a name yet. I'd say the Billboard Country Chart controversy and Billy's verse fueled it a lot recently, and last week genius dropped a video with him which went viral on Twitter. Drake, for instance, did basically nothing to promote In My Feelings and after the challenge died down, so did the song. OTR will slow down once the meme gets old, but he's promoting the song well enough that it may have greater longevity than we'd expect from a meme song.

I mean its reign did not outlast the challenge, "died down" might have been too strong of a sentiment. But I remember the talks of people saying "IMF" could vie for #1 YE and although it did great, wasn't really a close call per se.
