So, I own Fantasia’s first album “Free Yourself” on CD and her CD single for “Believe”, but I’ve been wanting her second/self-titled album for forever (so so good), but couldn’t find it on Amazon, or anywhere for a fair price...that being said, I checked the site just before Xmas and they had them in stock! I was thrilled to it online, so I bought that one along with “Side Effects of You,” and “The Definition Of.” “Sketchbook” was her first album I didn’t enjoy, while Back To Me is ok, I only really love Collard Greens and Cornbread form that album. Anyway, “Fantasia” just arrived and I can’t wait to play it.  |

That's great. I remember watching an interview Aretha Franklin had given in which she had said that Fantasia was heartbroken she hadn't been selected to participate in the Grammy tribute to Aretha; basically she had called Aretha and was crying that she was being snubbed a little too much within the entertainment industry in favor of other artists, and that she just could no longer handle it. Aretha told her basically to suck it up and that she needed to understand that she won't be at the top of people's lists all the time and that her time would come for sure. That stayed with me and knowing how much rejection gets to Fantasia, I'm twice as happy for her that this big project came along now.

This is exactly what happens when music becomes stressful and no longer as profitable as before, artists diversify.
I’m beyond thrilled for her and hopefully this is the beginning of an eventful acting career (I know this is not her first acting project but still)
