Seems like fans of both Ed and Justin rushed to give IDC a listen (for obvious reasons), but a song's steam dying down a day or two after it's release always says a lot about people's true reception to it. I haven't said anything about IDC till now, but it's as basic a collaboration as those two could have drummed up. It's predictable and generally just isn't a good song. Moments like this teach me not to expect too much from high profile collaborations because they mostly disappoint. Except Rihanna x Drake. The two BIGGEST musical trendsetters of the decade. Whatโs My Name; Work; Take Care and Too Good are all classics. HEHE. Yeah, they're pretty much the only two megastars from the same generation who have collaborated multiple times and managed to make classic songs every time.

Is it from fan videos and the like?

Anyone knows why Soltera (Remix) by Lunay, Daddy Yankee & Bad Bunny is doing so well on Apple Music itโs odd to see a Latin song that high (34)

I'm really interested to see how Dj Khaled's star-studded, visual album will perform.

The streams for IDC are awful in the US. At least it's doing ok WW although Bad Guy will most likely overtake it on Spotify as week goes ahead.

Damn. IDC debuted at #104 (#4 in Bubbling Under)... That's exactly where Shake It Off debuted. Another shade? Where did Shape of You debut?

Does debuting at #4 on the Bubbling Under mean itโs #104 on the Billboard 100? Couldnโt there be songs that are just under the Billboard 100 that are waiting to re-enter and would do so before a song from the Bubbling Under would graduate onto the Billboard 100?

Yes, there could absolutely be recurrent songs, and current songs that recently dropped off in between. Calling #4 on Bubbling Under "#104" is a useful shorthand, but not totally accurately. That said, any given week there are plenty of songs that are among the 100 biggest in the US that don't appear on the Hot 100 due to recurrent rules. Only the top 25 is an unabridged representation of the songs with the most points.

Ugh, can these big releases stop for a brief minute? I need my girl Ava to sneak a week in the Top 10.
Also, Iโm interested to see how well โMe!โ and โIf I Canโt Have Youโ will fare this week. I would like to see both songs become hits with actual longevity.

I'll grant you a few of them, but is "Too Good" a classic? I wouldn't go as far as to call it a "classic", but it's damn sure a much stronger collaboration than MOST high-profile celeb collabs we've gotten in the past 5-10 years and it's the weakest of Drake/Rihanna collabs.

Should be getting a lot of releases this Friday: new Megan There Stallion project, new DJ Khaled album, new Halsey single, OTR official music video and more.

Why aren't people screaming FLOP and OVER to Ed Sheeran/Bieber when they fail to dethrone OTR Divide was way more successful than Reputation, so he's coming from even bigger era. Patriachy.
OR, it could just be that IDC is a better song than ME! and people like it more, so while it might not debut enormously, I think it has a much stronger chance of sticking around for a while. This is also not an officially confirmed lead single from an upcoming album by either artist, so it doesn't carry as much pinache, and they haven't (so far) pulled any desperate hat tricks to try to get it to #1. Seems like fans of both Ed and Justin rushed to give IDC a listen (for obvious reasons), but a song's steam dying down a day or two after it's release always says a lot about people's true reception to it. Whatโs My Name; Work; Take Care and Too Good are all classics. HEHE. You really think that Work is a classic and not basic or predictable?! I remember clearly when it came out that it was perceived as incredibly basic and unoriginal, and that people were surprised it was #1 for so long and only did so because of weak chart competition at the time. Take a look at this thread, which shows the song is very polarizing at best: pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/173032/rihanna-drake-work

Looks like this week will be the third week in a row where there is a #2 debut.
Next week is also a possibility with some big names dropping, hoping for a 4th week as well!

Take a look at this thread, which shows the song is very polarizing at best: pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/173032/rihanna-drake-workIt doesn't matter whether it's confirmed as an ''official'' single for a project or not because it's sure as hell getting treated as one. It was released as a single on iTunes and every major streaming platform. It has YouTube videos for an audio version and a lyric video version. There are merch bundles being sold for it. It's getting a heavy push on radio AND an official video is going to be released soon because there's (you guessed it) a trailer for the upcoming music video. Both artists uploaded all those videos on both their channels to maximize views/streams. How do all those things not count as a level of desperation when Taylor did the exact same things and got called being desperate? This song is Ed Sheeran's first lead single removed from songs from the divide era. He teased the song for weeks before it eventually got released. He didn't even do this much for Shape of You and Castle on the Hill - lead singles from his last album. Also, as for Work, I'm not going by threads on any forum platform to determine whether or not it's a classic song. I use the overall reception it had on various social media platforms because they literally span millions of people and what I experienced first hand and that is that the song got played from January of 2016 when it got released THROUGHOUT the summer of that year and the same thing happened in 2017 and 2018 (ditto for songs like One Dance and Controlla because all three songs would often times get played one after the other in parties and radio stations). Even till this year when there isn't yet a clear song of the summer, you can search and see thousands of tweets of people saying their songs of the summer are all or any one of the songs I mentioned. If that doesn't speak to lasting power and classic status, I don't know what will.

Girls Like You is #25 on the Hot 100 this week, can it stay for at least this week? I despise the song, but I want another song to reach 52 weeks.

Itโs almost guaranteed that Halsey will debut Top 10 with Nightmare, itโs just a matter of how many streams itโll get. With a Top 10 as weak as this, I think itโll debut at #2 possibly?

If Talk Streams Starts To Decreases,Without Me Drops To #10 Or Goes Recurrent On Pop Radio And Decreases On Streams By A Bit, Sweet But Psycho May Just Slide Into The Top 10! i think its too late.
