Now that we've had time to digest both albums, which Ariana album released over the past year do you prefer?
For me, I prefer sweetener. It's less cohesive than thank u, next but the highs on sweetener are higher imo.

thank u, next--and it's not close. I never really got into sweetener beyond the singles and less than a handful of the album tracks.

Thank U, Next
I like "Sweetener" singles more, but TUN has MUCH better non-singles.
*no tears left to cry is one of the best pop songs of the decade imo

Agreed that the highlights of S are stronger than those of TU,N which is why I vote for the former. Both are weak overall albums, though, IMO.

thank u, next, just about. NTLTC is a lot better than anything on TUN, but successful is probably my least favourite song from any of her main albums.

Look, thank u, next is easily the stronger album... there's nothing horrible on it, while there's a lot of crap on sweetener.
But, credit where it's due, the best stuff on sweetener is better than anything on thank u, next.

I believe sweetener has a few songs that are ahead of everything on thank u, next, but thank u, next is the more cohesive album and the one I'm likely to return to more as a whole than sweetener.
