The tracking week for the 6/15 chart started today. Friday marked a lot of new releases, including Never Really Over, Press, Miley's EP, Find U Again, and Call You Mine. How will they fare on the chart? Will Katy be able to score another top 10? Which will have more success: Press or NRO? Discuss!

I feel like Press will be the bigger debut of the two, but i wouldn’t be too surprised if both manage to stick around. I’ve seen a much more positive reaction to Never Really Over than pretty much anything that came out of the Witness era so maybe Katy could actually have a bit of a comeback. Plus considering all the artists having strange comebacks this year I wouldn’t be shocked if Katy was one of them

"Press" will have the biggest debut but (hopefully) "Never Really Over" will end up being the biggest hit of the bunch.
"Call You Mine" will probably do about the same as "This Feeling". The Chainsmokers have peaked and their relatively strong radio support ain't enough to offset their lack of streaming.
RE: "Find U Again", I really have no idea how it's going to perform. Camila's team was flawless in their execution of her era at first, but it all crumbled after two singles. Mark's song with Miley was much more memorable (IMO) and it still struggled.
Last but not least, nothing on Miley's EP sounds like a big hit to me. I don't think it'll do much, sadly.

Old Town Road is eligible for 7x platinum. At this rate, it will be eligible for more than a diamond certification in the coming months

Never Really Over is gonna go Top 10, the reception is incredibly positive and it's above Press on iTunes. It has a radio deal as well.
I guess we'll see how it fairs on streaming, but I'm assuming not too bad as ME! debuted pretty well first day.

^Another place where it appears to be doing well is YouTube. I'm not expecting it to beat Old Town Road, but if it can manage to be #2 in the US for the week, it should help it.

I doubt Never Really Over will become a hit. People were saying the exact same things they are now about it (good reception, decent iTunes, sounds like radio candy) as they were with 365 just 3 months ago.
It will be a frontloaded top 15 at best imo.

It probably won’t do bigger numbers on Spotify either and I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of the views from the music video are worldwide. Top 10 seems like a stretch. |
