Sexy music videos save rap for me, other wise....This one had some dancing, but them vocals, sounded obnoxious. Not good Rock music obnoxious, but the kind where you wanna punch the guy in the face and take the girl away from him obnoxious.
98. "Some Cut" Trillville featuring Cutty
Most of these rap songs were first time listens. Couldn't really tell one from the other , but this guy's vocals didn't scare me away completely.
97. "Wait (The Whisper Song)" Ying Yang Twins
This was easily the best chosen travesty. I mean WTF? Who said whisper your way through the lyrics and get a hit. Plus the percussion was one big loop. Glad this is out. Already doing better here than I do on Active rock YE lists. One thought. The ladies on the MV were hot tho.
96. "U Already Know" 112 featuring Foxy Brown
Cannot understand why smooth R&B vibes got tanked. I didn't even use a music video to make the decision.
95. "Back Then" Mike Jones
Good this is out. besides the whisper-thon this was the obvious vocal travesty. The best part of this song was that hootchie fan girl.
94. "Wonderful" Ja Rule featuring R. Kelly and Ashanti
This was pretty hot. I know peeps don't like R. Kelly, for whatever reason, but he still has those smooth vocals. Even Ja Rule didn't sound so bad. Who was female backups. Was it the chick in the MV. She should have gotten credit.
93. "Your Body" Pretty Ricky
You guys are getting rid of all the sexy jams. This is just as bad as an Active Rd. This one even had some smooth silky synth magic.
92. "Grind with Me" Pretty Ricky
Not as hot as "Your Body" but dam you all just don't like Pretty Ricky. The rapping here is cool cuz it's smooth and silky. They ain't yelling at me. Even that dreadlock guy didn't ruin the vibe. This surely gets the ladies in the mood.
91. Just a Lil Bit" 50 Cent
Here is a rapper I just don't like. His tones, his beats are not great and catchy. He F U C K up the movies he is in. Not even the babes in the MV could save this one.

LOL! I am the wrong person to rank first time listen pop songs. have no idea why you guys didn't like this one? If I wasn't into Power ballads and Metal I would put these jams on to get that right saturday night date mood with the G.F.. The candelight, the strawberries, some oils and bam! magic night at home.
89. "Get It Poppin'" Fat Joe featuring Nelly
I know this guy is raza and all, but I don't like his tones. Not even when he did that song with Thalia.
88. "My Humps" The Black Eyed Peas
Ooh I love this jam. WTF are you all doing? . I remember this being one of the hottest jams on the airwaves. Chicks were dancing to this and us guys were having the time of our lives. This has old skool funk beats and shit too. This is some fierce Klubbing music here.
87. "Girlfight" Brooke Valentine featuring Lil Jon and Big Boi
This wouldn't have been a travesty if that pissed off rapper wasn't yelling shit throughout the whole music video. He totally ruined the experience for me, so I tanked this.
86. "Lonely" Akon
This wasn't entirely awful but the guy had silly sounding vocal tones. I'm pretty sure that was him in the beginning of the song sounding even sillier.

Yup, I remember Lonely being played on Radio Disney back during this time, was such a jam. I can understand why people don't like it (those chipmunk vocals on the chorus don't help) but it's catchy and nostalgic, I like it.
Thank goodness My Humps is out, that song is just … ew.
2 PRs and 8 out of my bottom 10 cleared, this is going pretty well.

I didn’t expect “My Humps” out this early, so I’m pleasantly surprised. We better not be getting rid of the other Black Eyed Peas songs any time soon, though. Same with 50 Cent, for that matter. My bottom 5 is cleared. I expect my #95 won’t have a whole lot of support, so maybe it’ll be out in the next set?

"Play" was the song that forced my biggest negative swing. I used to think that "Play" was not all that bad, but subsequent listens in the last couple of years have soured me on the song more and more. And no, it's not because of the lyrics. The structure of the song is a big old nothing burger. There's very little to the song beyond the lyrics. Even still, there are nearly ten songs worse in this rankdown. I am kind of surprise that "Some Cut" was not even lower. I expected that song to be closer to "Play". "Back Then" was not good, and I, honestly, expected better. "Still Tippin'", "Back Then" is not.
I agree with chart that there's worse here than "U Already Know". Having said that, 112 have made better songs than this. It's pretty uninspired for them. "Wonderful" kind of falls under the same criteria as "U Already Know", but I've never really cared for Ja Rule. lol @ the Pretty Ricky songs going out back to back. The right one was higher, I suppose. Speaking of "the right one", oh, I'm so glad "Just a Lil Bit" was the first 50 Cent song to go. That song sucks. I was not expecting a song by Fat Joe and Nelly to be so "meh", to be honest. It's just so there.
YES. BE GONE, DEMON. I was not expecting to lose any of my bottom four this early, let alone this. I also thought there would be a few more supporters. I know that people like to talk a lot of shit about Black Eyed Peas these days, but even after they stopped making hits, I would argue that they never made a song this bad after "My Humps". And they made some pretty poor songs after this, so that's saying a lot. In most other rankdowns, this would have been my #100 and I wouldn't have looked back. It also wouldn't have been my #100 in this or the following two year-end Hot 100s. Go figure. |

So far so good with reveals. "Girlfight" and "My Humps" could've been higher but I'm not surprised to see them out early. Everything else was pretty much expected and well-deserved.
