Charging toward yet another top 10 (and hopefully eventual #1)! Not often have I seen a song recieve so many consecutive huge updates. You know its big when it gains over 400 spins and still takes a 100+ loss to the bullet. :deceased:

Hopefully, this one has good callouts and manages to reach the top of Pop radio.

I think as long as the callout scores are decent, even middling (so long as they aren't disastrous), radio will push this to the top. Downloads and streaming seem to suggest people are enjoying this much more than her last release. The streaming has been very stable (even grew in numbers the other day). Things are looking great this far.

I don't understand the low Youtube numbers though. It's (usually) one of her strengths.

I don't understand the low Youtube numbers though. It's (usually) one of her strengths. Are they that out of character when stacked up to her last slew of releases though? "Ready For It" has like 240 million views, "End Game" has like 200 million views, even "Delicate" tops out at 360 million views. Her last huge video was "Look What You Made Me Do" and before that the only era she consecutively churned out monster views was 1989 (which was at her career peak). I think this will hit "Delicate" numbers if not more by the end of its run and I personally wouldn't think that would be off from what should be expected at this point. Idk though, maybe I have different expectations.

Yeah you're not wrong but this was clearly designed to go viral... which it kinda did for a minute, but it never quite translated into big views.
I don't buy the "Youtube is deleting views" excuse I've seen on Twitter. And it might be a consistent performer for a long time, unlike "ME!".

I think with Reputation a lot of her video prowess took a hit with the slew of polarizing songs/videos. Outside of "LWYMMD" none of her videos had the wow factor. Even this video doesn't have that. The most tantalizing part is the Katy feature at the end and I am guessing the wide coverage/clips/pics of the reunion was enough for most who probably didn't feel the need to sit through the whole thing. The video itself is colorful, fun, but pretty basic. lol They slurpped up the whole damn video budget on what is likely gonna end up being the worse song on the album. lol

The views are low on Katy's latest too, which even her 3 main Witness singles all got over half a billion views each. Maybe YouTube is slowing down, at least for American music.

I do think this is part of it. I mean during the 1989 era I really doubt the billions of views her singles from that era were getting were people watching the video. A few hundred million sure, but most of those 8 billion streams was probably people listening to the songs for the audio because they didn't want to purchase them and because they weren't available on Spotify. Youtube was also still pretty big as an American music streaming service in general, and as a way to check out new music since Spotify and AM were much smaller in 2014-2015. There's some Americans who have Youtube Red, but I think the vast majority of Americans are listening to music on audio streaming services like Spotify and AM and the majority of Youtube's music streams are coming from Latin America, Asia, and people who don't have subscription based streaming accounts because they're very casual music listeners or children. Even Look What You Made Me Do didn't do *that* well in the long run, it got huge views on the first couple days from the anticipation and maintained high views afterwards probably at least in part thanks to the ticketmaster boost program, but once all that had passed it dropped to 1m daily pretty quickly and now it's only doing 300k. So it reached 500 billion streams in barely more than a month, but it's probably going to take it about 5 years to go from 1 billion to 1.5 billion.

I'm actually starting to bop to this. It's no surprise to me because ever since Red, I've disliked Taylor's first singles but liked the second singles.

I feel this is going to properly enter her as a dominant streaming force. Stable as all hell.

I thought "ME!" would have legs, thinking that it being aggresively generic and harmless would translate into a softer fall but it's deflating faster than LWYMMD in spite of a lower peak... "Delicate" being her only song to actually go recurrent lately proves how awesome that track was though, #12 peak be damned.

I am surprised by the stability this is experiencing on streaming. I mean it is at #6 on Spotify and is consistently getting a million plus streams everyday. This is the best streaming performance (in terms of consistency) I have seen from Taylor on Spotify in years. I am so used to seeing her linger in the 20s/30s there. lol This definitely looks to be getting this era back on track.

The callouts were awful. Wasn't it's negative REALLY bad so it did apparently offend people like "LWYMMD" (i'm a fan of both of them) though I will skip "Me" sometimes because it is a bit to much for me and I know everyone in the car is going to say change it. LoL. "The spelling is fun stuff" always gets a station change I have noticed.

I see a few Billboard Projections for this,One has it at #7 and another at #12 for next week. At this point,I hope this song stays top 10.It will be great for Taylor to have a major hit with longevity. This could be her biggest on Spotify since "I Don't Wanna Live Forever".

I wish there were a high-profile show she could perform this on soon, given how well it is doing. All the award shows are a bit away unfortunately. Won't be long until top 10 though, on a good note.
