2) What will be #10? Most likely the Shelby Lynne duet "Keep Walkin' On"
3) Which songs will be in the top 5? I think single bias will play a big role here and therefore I'm expecting all five singles to be in the top 5
4) What song will be most polarizing? "I Can't Do That Anymore" Least polarizing? "It Matters to Me"
5) Which of the singles will place highest? Where will it place? "It Matters to Me" at #1 followed by "Someone Else's Dream" at #2

Considering that three of the singles all came within' a few spots of each in Faith's artist rankdown (those being "I Can't Do That Anymore", "Let's Go to Vegas", and "You Can't Lose Me"), it'll be interesting to see what the results are this time around. This is probably my favorite album era of Faith's as I had this album on repeat down in my basement that entire year lol.

In what better not be a surprise to anybody, we say goodbye to "Keep Walkin' On" first...  This song is TRAGICALLY bad... As in, it is hands down my least favorite song of Faith's entire career. It is sinfully bad. I am so happy with how we did it here, because not only was it ranked in last place by nine out of fifteen participants, but it was also in last place for the entire submission process. Granted, a lot of that might just be it getting superseded by how strong the album is rather than y'all actively hating it as much as I do, but it still fed my soul with life to see this one get obliterated like this  |

It Matters To Me is probably Faith's consistently strongest album, and that is on full display with "A Room In My Heart" being the nearly unanimous #9 contender. This song is not even slightly bad imo, but this album is SOOOOO strong that there is merely not room for it to be anywhere other than bottom 2.
Faith's vocal is beautiful here, but it is the clear outlier of the ballads on this album, because it just isn't quite as appealing as "It Matters To Me", "A Man's Home Is His Castle", or "I Can't Do That Anymore" imo. Lots of strong competition!!

Once again, we see a song with an incredibly consistent performance! "You Will Be Mine" sat comfortably at #8 for almost the entire submission process, and due to its more polarizing nature it managed to put up a hefty 20 point lead against the bottom 2. However, it was not nearly as well loved as anything that is left, as the #7 song also has a hefty 20 point lead on this one  Imo this album has three obvious lower-tier songs, and we just got rid of all three of them back-to-back-to-back. It's not that they are even remotely bad, it's that this album has 5 of the best singles of her entire career plus 2 of the best album tracks of her entire career, and if you do the math there simply wasn't any room left for the others! Which means at this point, we are down to a competition between those 5 well-loved singles and those 2 well-loved album tracks, which means shit is about to get MUCH more serious!!! ;) |
