"one time my grandma got stung by a jellyfish and she wouldn't let me go in the ocean when I was young because of that"
f
Solid song, but given its obvious influences and the solid performance of the style, I expected to like it more.

Loved the Queen-style theatricality of this. Favorite first listen if you don't count Two Worlds Collide which I had heard before but forgot about.

To be honest, when I first heard this album it was an incredibly off-putting listen. But knowing it has fans around here, I've been coming back to their songs and found myself liking them more

#14! 4 top 10s, NO bottom 20s! if you had a bad reveal, well, this one isn't gonna be much better :/ this one entered top 5 for a few lists in the middle before sinking to #14

I dug the grooviness of it. If anything, I underranked this a tad.

I seem to be alone on this but I preferred this to Walking in My Shoes

Well, I do not share the opinion that this is better than "Walking in My Shoes", but this is good.

#13. 7 top 10s. only 2 bottom 30s. only flirted with the top 10.

I'm not sure if this is true, but is Doc ranking Primus at 100 the first time a member has ranked a band at both #1 and #100? He ranked N.I.B at #1 iirc Did it with Nickleback. I have a tendency to love certain songs from bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Pearl jam, (?) even Buckcherry, and totally despise other ones. Rank the song not the band. although Nickelback did deserve that #100 for "Rockstar" for taking a dump on their own career. I also tanked a some Scorpions a few Rds back. Stay tuned. I might give Fitz and The Tantrums the same treatment this year for that kindergarten rhyme they released earlier this year. KFC is here so comments for tonight's reveals will have to wait.

this bodes well for Black Metallic in 1992, one of my favorite shoegaze songs ever

I only have one song below my top 25 now, this was my second-lowest remaining...and I still kind of wanted to see it make the top ten the longer it survived.

I didn't care for the last song we ranked from them too much, so I was pleasantly surprised that I liked Crank that much. Good placement.

#12. 10 top 10s. top 10 for half of the rankdown. yet, some tankers brought it down out of the top 10.
oh yeah, at least one #1.

I really did not expect to like this song after we ranked "Waydown" from a couple years ago, but this was an excellent discovery.

UGH I was going to make a Christmas with the Cranks AMV for this reveal and I got too lazy to do it. It would be an unnecessarily long, time intensive joke to make, especially since no one would think it was funny but me but, I just love the idea of a video called KRAAAANK.mp4 with botoxed Tim Allen in the thumbnail, I really should've made it happen but the stars just didn't align

Can we let this song win the 1993 Hot 100 RD, whenever we get to it?
(You know, assuming "It Was a Good Day" wouldn't win because :( rap :()

a #1 rank. at least 5 top 10s. overwhelming top half support. but it couldn't make top 10, thanks to a few tankers. all this and more, at #11.

It'll either be the Dolly cover or 7 that wins 1993.
