I Will Always Love You spent 2 weeks in the top 10 in 2012, 18 weeks overall. also, Perfect counts for Beyonce (5 weeks) The weeks Perfect was #1 no longer have Beyoncè credited, which is why I didn't credit her with them. But Billboard Is still crediting her for 5 of the total 6 weeks.

After Savage rose to #1: „ Beyoncé becomes the 21st artist with at least seven Hot 100 No. 1s. Here is a recap of her leaders: Title, Date Reached No. 1 "Crazy in Love," feat. Jay-Z, July 12, 2003 "Baby Boy," feat. Sean Paul, Oct. 4, 2003 "Check On It," feat. Slim Thug, Feb. 4, 2006 "Irreplaceable," Dec. 16, 2006 "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," Dec. 13, 2008 "Perfect," Ed Sheeran feat. Beyoncé, Dec. 23, 2017 "Savage," Megan Thee Stallion feat. Beyoncé, May 30, 2020“

I am sure that was done for consistency with database management
For me anyway, the 'source of all truth' is what happened in the moment and what was ultimately printed. Not after the fact changes in the database.
Joel Whitburn btw credits Beyoncé for part of the chart run as it happened in reality

She is no longer credited during the weeks Perfect spent in the top 10, but according to Billboard, it still counts for her. I've added it to her count.

But Billboard Is still crediting her for 5 of the total 6 weeks. They're not. Go back and check the weeks Perfect was #1 on the Billboard website and her name doesn't show up. Billboard's website has/had a single version of every song. That's why it's not reliable to check stats like this, because it will show you the most recent version of the credit verdict. This is why if you go back, "Old Town Road" has Billy Ray Cyrus credited for the weeks prior to the release of the remix. They recently fixed it I think, because Nicki Minaj on "Say So" has been a non-issue. Beyoncé had 5 weeks at #1, therefore 5 weeks in the top ten with her "Perfect Duet." Obviously it wouldn't make sense to credit her on any of the song's records (for its 33 weeks in the Top 10, for example) but adding those 5 weeks to Beyoncé's total is a no brainer.

Billboard is not retroactively revoking credit just because they change labels in their database.
If Beyoncé hit #1 as part of a remix and they wrote about and even published a chart on it --- it happened.
Just because they tweaked the database a little to make it easier to manage - as happens when the label credit changes during the chart run, does not mean they are rewriting history
Reading a little too much into this I think

I posted something similar about a half hour before you posted that - so what?
Anyway - this isn't a big deal. Billboard database is not 'perfect' - no database is for that matter

Beyoncé is also just credited on 5 of the total 6 weeks Savage has managed to be in the top 10. „ Beyoncé is not credited on the Hot 100 as a featured artist on "Savage" as the total chart points for its remix did not outweigh those of the original in the tracking week; artist credit will be reevaluated next week following a first full tracking week for the remix.“

How does Billboard credit Rihanna’s “S&M” ??
It technically did have a remix with Britney Spears that drove it to #1. Of course, how many Britney fans call it their own?... (Great pairing though!)

Literally every Britney fan calls it her own to keep her on clout with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake (and now Lady Gaga) who actually have 5 credible #1 hits. Without that credit she would have less #1s. It's the Rihanna fans who like to discredit Britney from her "contribution" to the song, as they should. The song rose from #2 to #1 when Britney was added on it and Britney's credit only lasted for one week.

Only on the Hot 100 was Spears credited for a week of "S&M." Never on any airplay charts, to my knowledge. The archives may erroneously credit her on airplay charts, though, similar to what's happening with Nicki Manj's credit on "Say So" (and how it may be for other collabo "remixes").

All this controversy stems simply from database management, I believe
It is easier to manage a database when the artist credit does not change mid chart run
The keepers of the database may be just making credit more uniform for that reason only rather than retroactively changing stuff.
In my opinion, the 'source of all truth' should be what they published the week of.

Simply spending 1 week top 10 doesn’t mean something isn’t a “legit top 10”. That’s as dumb as saying spending 1 week at #1 isn’t a legit number one. A chart run like 90-56-32-24-17-16-13-12-10-11-11-14-16-18-20-25-30-33-33-37-38-39-40-42-48-50 would have no reason to not be a legit hit in all forms. Even a chart run like 8-13-14-17-15-16-19-21-20-24-28-36-38-40-44-47. That is a song that spent months top 20/top 40. There are songs that spend multiple weeks top 10 but end up having weaker chart runs than both scenarios. Drake’s list has like... 3 top 10s that had just actual weak runs and struggled to even reach 10 weeks charting. But he also has plentyyyy of top 20s that spent months top 20 and definitely deserved a week or two top 10. So his number of top 10s really isn’t undeserving at all. Diplomatic Immunity spent 2 weeks in the Hot 100 and is classified as a top 10 hit

Go figures.
Rihanna is one of the best, so props to her for claiming that title.
