Yeah, Justin Moore's only good for about two songs, maybe three if he's lucky. He definitely overcooked his twang in "Backwoods" among most of his other singles imo...
I'll confess that I was a little generous to this song actually, but hopefully his other song will leave soon as well.

I love AJ and I enjoy McGehee and Stegall penned songs but this song is so damn boring. I'm, not sure why it was the lead single off that record. [/div][/div][/quote] Never understood that either. Freight Train wasn't a great record, but there were still some pretty good songs (After 17 being probably the best)- just about anything would've been a better lead single than this. It pretty much killed Alan's radio career.

Yeah, I agree that "It's Just That Way" was a career killer. I remember thinking that when it was out as well, especially after hearing the other options they had on Freight Train. The fact that the vastly superior and radio friendly "Hard Hat and a Hammer" didn't even out-peak that song on the charts said it all in regards to his waning momentum.

#109. Rascal Flatts - "Unstoppable"
Total Points: 1,328 Average: 83.0 Year Released: January 4th, 2010 Mediabase Peak: #6 Billboard Peak: #7 Rankings:Cody Wants Out... - 23 toomuchboy - 31 castleoblivion26 - 39 bboat11 - 49 .indulgecountry - 69 LBTrocks - 78 someguy - 80 tim - 82 recordyear - 94 George Strait Junkie - 99 sabre14 - 100 g8erboi - 101 ClevelandRox - 116 gardyfan - 120 kw9461 - 123 Kanenrá:ke - 124 "Unstoppable" was the fourth and final single off Rascal Flatts' album of the same name in January of 2010. The song peaked at #6 on Mediabase in May. It was written by Jay DeMarcus, Hillary Lindsey and James T. Slater. The song was also used as a theme song for Team USA during the 2010 Winter Olympics and an alternate version was recorded with a music video. It appeared on the Team USA soundtrack. "Unstoppable" was also Rascal Flatts' final single for Lyric Street, who folded by the end of the spring.
I used to dislike this one more than I do now. The song is okay but the production is awful. I also wanted other songs released over this one off the album and no doubt the Olympics factor was why it was chosen.

Yeah, the wrong RF song is out first imo and that was one of the only decent songs from their album iirc (outside of "Love Who You Love" I think). Also, I believe you double-tagged someone sabre14...

#108. Rodney Atkins - "Farmer's Daughter"
Total Points: 1,328 Average: 83.0 Year Released: March 29th, 2010 Mediabase Peak: #5 Billboard Peak: #5
Rankings:
"Farmer's Daughter" was released in March of 2010 as a new song/single off a re-issue of Rodney Atkins' It's America album. The song was also included on his Take a Back Road album in 2011. It peaked at #5 in November of 2010. The track was written by Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Marv Green This song doesn't do anything for me and my goodness, if I hear it one more time. We still play it at our station and it drives me crazy because he's had better songs.

Finally! I couldn't stand "Farmer's Daughter" back in the day, and it's only gotten worse over time. In fact, I think I overranked it. :(

#106. Troy Olsen - "Summer Thing"
Total Points: 1,320 Average: 82.5 Year Released: May 3rd, 2010 Mediabase Peak: #37 Billboard Peak: #35 Rankings:.indulgecountry - 54 Cody Wants Out... - 58 recordyear - 58 someguy - 62 LBTrocks - 64 bboat11 - 69 kw9461 - 73 toomuchboy - 74 George Strait Junkie - 78 gardyfan - 79 ClevelandRox - 101 g8erboi - 103 sabre14 - 104 Kanenrá:ke - 108 castleoblivion26 - 114 tim - 121 "Summer Thing" was the debut single for Arizona native Troy Olsen. The singer-songwriter was signed to UMG's EMI Nashville imprint and released "Summer Thing" in May of 2010. The song peaked at #35 on Billboard by August. Troy co-wrote Blake Shelton's top 10 hit "I'll Just Hold On." He also had songs cut by Tim McGraw, Chris Young and Patty Loveless. He had another top 40 hit in 2011 ("Good Hands") before exiting EMI Nashville.
I probably underranked this one by a few spaces. It's not something I would go out of my way to listen to but it's a smooth listen and I think the lyrics are really nice.

"Good Hands" was way better, but this was alright too. Surprised to see myself as the highest rank for it though, lol.
I dislike Rodney Atkins a lot (awful, awful voice), but "Farmer's Daughter" is one of the few hits of his that works for me. Give me that any day over crap like "Watching You" or "It's America" or "Caught Up in the Garbage."

#104. Kenny Chesney - "The Boys of Fall"
Total Points: 1,286 Average: 80.3 Year Released: July 12th, 2010 Mediabase Peak: #1 Billboard Peak: #1 Rankings:g8erboi - 16 someguy - 20 ClevelandRox - 52 recordyear - 55 gardyfan - 56 sabre14 - 70 tim - 72 George Strait Junkie - 76 kw9461 - 84 Cody Wants Out... - 91 toomuchboy - 100 bboat11 - 112 castleoblivion26 - 118 .indulgecountry - 120 Kanenrá:ke - 120 LBTrocks - 124 "The Boys of Fall" was released as the lead single off Kenny Chesney's Hemingway's Whiskey album in July of 2010. It reached #1 in early October. The song was written by Casey Beathard and Dave Turnbull. The music video is eight minutes long and features interviews and highlights from all levels of football.
So, I like this song but it's not near Kenny's best. What's interesting, and this is only really known here, is Kenny hates coming to the concert venues here in Buffalo. Darien Lake amphitheater and the Key Bank Center. We know this at our own country station lol. He was briefly arrested with Tim McGraw back when they played Ralph Wilson Stadium in the late 90's after taking a sheriff's horse without permission. The case was eventually thrown out but he's always held a grudge since. I find it hilarious there isn't a Buffalo Bills highlight anywhere in an eight minute long music video about football, lmao.

Words can't describe how much I hate "The Boys of Fall" lol. I mean, I hate sports (football being the worst) so the lyrics are lost on me and the melody is awful to me. I haven't heard this since it was current, and its just as bad as I remember it.

I remember that because it happened when Tim and Kenny were on George Strait's Country Music Festival tour! It got quite a bit of press at the time but looking back I'm sure they laugh about it now (well, maybe not Kenny so much lol). Anyways, "Boys of Fall" lasted longer than I thought it was going to as I predicted it was going to be the first #1 single eliminated. I was probably a bit generous with my ranking but overall it's not a bad song per se I just rarely ever find myself wanting to hear it.

Tim never had a problem, he's been back numerous times (just this past August actually lol). Tim laughs about it. I'm not sure why Kenny was different. In fairness, it was a stupid incident that shouldn't have even seen a courtroom. Kenny hasn't played in the Buffalo area in no joke, a decade...I only remember him playing at Darien Lake 2-3 times tops since the early 2000's and he's never been to the arena.

Glad to see two Alan Jackson songs out already... also gonna catch up a little:
"Pants" by Walker Hayes is a stupid song but it's catchy lol. One of the only things I like from him. Don't love it or anything but its cute.
"Hillbilly Bone" is really dreadful. I actually strongly dislike their voices together and the song has a really bad melody and the instrumentation is pretty awful.
"Unstoppable" is actually a more tolerable RF tune but I still don't enjoy it enough to put it higher than I did, and I'm not sad to see it leave.
"Backwoods" by Justin Moore is not a song I'm gonna put on my 'best examples of country-rock' list but it is just dark and edgy enough for me to really enjoy it lol. I'm not surprised it is out so soon tho.

#102. Steel Magnolia - "Just By Being You (Halo and Wings)"
Total Points: 1,263 Average: 78.9 Year Released: June 21st, 2010 Mediabase Peak: #25 Billboard Peak: #25 Rankings:Cody Wants Out... - 35 ClevelandRox - 39 Kanenrá:ke - 40 toomuchboy - 62 g8erboi - 65 bboat11 - 68 kw9461 - 68 castleoblivion26 - 73 LBTrocks - 81 recordyear - 87 George Strait Junkie - 101 sabre14 - 103 gardyfan - 105 tim - 108 someguy - 110 .indulgecountry - 118 "Just By Being You (Halo and Wings)" was the second-career single for duo Steel Magnolia. It was released in June of 2010 and peaked at #25 in October. The song was written by Britton Cameron and Patricia Conroy. It was later included on their self-titled album, which was released at the start of 2011.
Steel Magnolia were a duo comprised of Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones. They won the second season of the show Can You Duet? and signed a record deal with Big Machine Records. They disbanded in 2012.
I was never a fan of Steel Magnolia's music. This song isn't bad but never did much for me.

"Just By Being You" is okay but I was never a Steel Magnolia fan either. But it ain't a bad song. I kinda like the production and how the song builds.
