Please don’t wait til 10 pm on Thursday night... LBTrocks lol. :) Oh, totally forgot to even start this lol. So yeah... it'll probably be Wednesday night at the earliest before I submit. #oops lol.

1. Which songs do you think are top 5 contenders? I feel pretty confident that both "The House That Built Me" and "If I Die Young" will be in the top 5 so guessing the remaining three songs is a bit more of a challenge but I think it might include "White Liar", either "Roll With It" or "A Little More Country Than That" (why not both!), "Why Don't We Just Dance", and "American Honey"
2. Which songs do you think are bottom 5 contenders? John Rich's "Country Done Come to Town" along with "Still a Little Chicken Left on that Bone", "Top Down", "Tell Your Sister I'm Single", and "Trailerhood"
3. Which highest non-top 10 radio hit will last the longest? David Nail usually does quite well in the rankdowns so maybe "Turning Home" but I'm pulling for Craig Morgan's "This Ain't Nothin'"
4. Which top 10 hit will be eliminated first? Justin Moore's "Backwoods"
5. Which #1 single will be eliminated first? "The Boys of Fall" is the first song that comes to mind because well Kenny Chesney...
6. How long will your #1 song last? I'd be shocked if it's not in the top 2
7. How long will your #126 song last? It better be bottom 5!

1. Which songs do you think are top 5 contenders? The House That Built Me, If I Die Young, Temporary Home, Our Kind of Love, Stuck Like Glue. Maybe I Keep On Loving You and The Truth, but both artists have their tankers.
2. Which songs do you think are bottom 5 contenders? "Hillbilly Bone," the John Rich song, Toby Keith and Craig Morgan. I can never guess with these.
3., 4., and 5. I don't know radio rankings enough to say.
6. How long will your #1 song last? Probably to the top 40 or roundabout there, I imagine.
7. How long will your #126 song last?I could see it making the top 70. It is a pretty song. The lyrics ruined it for me is all.

6. How long will your #1 song last? I actually think it has a decent chance at winning

#126. Fast Ryde - "Top Down"
Total Points: 1,820 Average: 113.7 Year Released: April 19th, 2010 Mediabase Peak: Did Not Chart Billboard Peak: Did Not Chart Rankings:gardyfan - 82 ClevelandRox - 83 bboat11 - 101 sabre14 - 107 castleoblivion26 - 110 someguy - 111 toomuchboy - 113 g8erboi - 114 George Strait Junkie - 122 tim - 123 kw9461 - 125 recordyear - 125 .indulgecountry - 126 LBTrocks - 126 Cody Wants Out... - 126 Kanenrá:ke - 126 Fast Ryde was a duo comprised of James Harrison and Jody Stevens. They were the first act ever signed to Big Machine Label Group's Republic Nashville imprint (now BMLG Records), back in 2009. Their debut single, "That Thang" made it to #38 on Billboard and #41 on Mediabase in the summer of 2009. Their second single "Make It Rain" didn't chart at the end of 2009. "Top Down" was their third and final radio single, which also failed to chart. They would leave BMLG soon after.
Jody Stevens would later become a producer and studio musician in Nashville, producing Cole Swindell's "Chillin' It." Jody's dad is Jeff Stevens, whose hit credits include "Down in Flames" by BlackHawk, "Carrying Your Love with Me" by George Strait, "Back When" by Tim McGraw and "All My Friends Say" by Luke Bryan.
Not surprised at all this one is out first and you'll see by the point total for #125, that it was last by a landslide. I actually think "Top Down" would've been a halfway decent song and it is pretty catchy...but my God that auto-tune. No idea why they attempted it. Two versions were sent to radio, one with far less auto-tune but it didn't matter.

#125. Chuck Wicks - "Hold That Thought"
Total Points: 1,571 Average: 98.1 Year Released: May 17th, 2010 Mediabase Peak: #40 Billboard Peak: #42 Rankings:castleoblivion26 - 46 toomuchboy - 63 .indulgecountry - 72 kw9461 - 80 recordyear - 89 someguy - 96 gardyfan - 101 tim - 102 bboat11 - 106 ClevelandRox - 106 Kanenrá:ke - 112 George Strait Junkie - 114 sabre14 - 118 Cody Wants Out... - 119 LBTrocks - 123 g8erboi - 124 "Hold That Thought" was the fourth-career single for Chuck Wicks. It was released in May of 2010 and peaked at #40 on Mediabase in August. The song was supposed to be the lead single off a sophomore album for Chuck but it was never released after this and "Old School's" chart performances and he left RCA Nashville.
This song is so boring. It had been a while since I heard it when I started this rankdown process and yup, just as boring as I remember. I suppose the instrumentation gets interesting at certain points but the melody is just non-existent if you ask me.

#124. James Otto - "Soldiers & Jesus"
Total Points: 1,544 Average: 96.5 Year Released: September 7th, 2010 Mediabase Peak: #34 Billboard Peak: #34 Rankings:sabre14 - 59 George Strait Junkie - 65 bboat11 - 85 ClevelandRox - 88 g8erboi - 88 toomuchboy - 89 gardyfan - 90 recordyear - 95 kw9461 - 99 tim - 105 .indulgecountry - 107 Kanenrá:ke - 110 castleoblivion26 - 111 Cody Wants Out... - 114 LBTrocks - 117 someguy - 122 "Soldiers & Jesus" was the second and final single off James Otto's Shake What God Gave Ya album off Warner Music Nashville in September of 2010. It peaked at #34 in January of 2011. The song was written by James and Chris Wallin. I always imagined this would be James' final charting single until "Somewhere Tonight" came along in 2015 lol.
This isn't my favorite James song but I like it -- I get why this one would be disliked though, not surprised it's bottom five here.

Yeah, the autotune in "Top Down" was laughably bad. I can't believe I'm the 3rd highest ranker for that song!! Lmao
I wanted to like "Hold That Thought", because the lyrics are pretty solid and the song has a very sexy premise. Unfortunately the whole thing falls flat.
"Soldiers & Jesus", on the other hand, has an immaculate vocal and a great melody. I didn't expect much, but I am shocked to see it do so poorly here!

I didn't expect "Soldiers & Jesus" to be out this soon either. And "Hold That Thought" is cute.

I adore Danny Gokey's voice, and "I Will Not Say Goodbye" is okay but I definitely like his voice better than the song... and I prefer his Christian music to his country music, although I did like a couple songs on his country album.

#122. Danny Gokey - "My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me"
Total Points: 1,535 Average: 95.9 Year Released: December 26th, 2009 Mediabase Peak: #22 Billboard Peak: #24 Rankings:recordyear - 69 Cody Wants Out... - 71 toomuchboy - 72 g8erboi - 74 LBTrocks - 74 bboat11 - 76 someguy - 76 .indulgecountry - 99 tim - 99 gardyfan - 108 Kanenrá:ke - 113 ClevelandRox - 115 George Strait Junkie - 119 kw9461 - 121 sabre14 - 123 castleoblivion26 - 126 "My Best Days are Ahead of Me" was the debut single for Danny Gokey the last week of 2009. It officially impacted the first week of January, 2010. The song peaked at #22 on Mediabase in May. It was written by Kent Blazy and Marv Green. It was off his album for RCA/Sony Nashville, My Best Days.
I think this song's lyrics are pretty good but his voice with the arrangement is awful. I usually don't gravitate towards disliking an artist's voice but I can't stand Gokey's. That whispery, raspy tone and then belting out vocals, it just doesn't work for me.

thank goodness, this song is not good at all! Cannot believe it made it to #22 on the Country charts. Cannot stand his voice at all

I legitimately guessed from the way he sings in I Will Not Say Goodbye that he was from some singing competitions. Turns out I am right lol
