Kygo and Whitney out. Any impact? I'm gonna assume not since I only just saw it but it came out June 28th.

King of universe is about to show lessers how to turn dusty leftover into another monstrous smash. So Post may possibly be the 3rd artist to be blocked by OTR twice lmao Taylor: Me! and You Need to Calm Down Shawn: IICHY and Senorita Post: Wow. and Goodbyes Would be amazing if it happened I don't consider Wow blocked from #1 as it was already on the charts.

God's Country will probably get the biggest boost of any song for july 4th so definately keep an eye out for that.

It's #5 on iTunes, and #127 on Apple Music. I'd say it'll probably debut, but not that high. God's Country will probably get the biggest boost of any song for july 4th so definately keep an eye out for that. Wouldn't mind that. It's a great song.

I don't consider Wow blocked from #1 as it was already on the charts. Wow was blocked from #1 by 7 Rings first, but it was also prevented from reaching #1 by Wow. Multiple songs can block another song from #1. Absolutely right—that said, part of what makes Old Town Road's reign so fascinating is all the songs that debuted at #2 (or peaked at #2 in its first full charting week, like "ME!", which will be colloquially considered a #2 debut forever even though it definitively was not) under it, of which "Wow." isn't one.

On a roll still hasn’t charted on the Hot 100, but I don’t understand how in gods name is daddy by blue face outcharting it on the bubbling under?

Are there any recurrent patriotic songs that could potentially get a lot of streams on Thursday?
I feel like there’s not really anything obvious on the current chart that will get a lot of streams except maybe “God’s Country” and some of the more upbeat songs that will get played at cookouts.
It will be interesting since around Christmas time last year a lot of holiday songs did really well in streams and sales.

Chistmas is a season that allows buildup
July 4 is one day
There usually is songs that get a little spike but nothing will chart from it
God Bless The USA comes to mind

The 4th of July tracks that gets spikes are usually God Bless the USA, Born in the USA, Party in the USA, Made in the USA, Firework, Courtesy of the Red White and Blue, American Soldier, American Pie, Sweet Home Alabama, R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A., and a few others. They'll get a nice spike on iTunes and maybe one or two might appear on Spotify's Top 200 on Friday and a handful will show up somewhere on Apple Music's top 1500, but none of it will be enough to chart anywhere. God Bless the USA is the only one with a chance to make a blip at the bottom of the recurrent chart.
Also, fun fact, the entire top 3 on iTunes right now (Old Town Road, The Git Up, Truth Hurts) are songs that blew up in part because of Tik Tok memes. Vine's ability to create meme hits has been revived.

I think one of the songs to watch out for is The Git Up as its been making big increases on the Hot 100 and it is the second song from the Country-Hip Hop genre (as of recently) to chart due to Old Town Road's success .

Shawn keeps leading on Spotify. Lil Nas X could have 0 streams on Spotify and still be #1 in overall streaming.

And frankly, it's a terrible song. Just awful. This isn't an anti-American thing, I'm Canadian but still get a lump when America, The Beautiful or God Bless America is performed well. "I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free." Like the US is the only free country in the world.

Firework’s already in the Top 200 iTunes according to a Chart Data tweet. It doesn't take more than a couple of dozen sales to make the iTunes 200 these days. You can actually work it out pretty accurately. Those multiple highlighted numbers (0.0353, 0.0349, 0.0345, 0.0341) near the bottom of the list on kworb's chart indicate the same number of sales. Which means that unless there are spectacularly improbable odds, the difference (0.0004) between those songs represents a single sale. (It's somewhere between 0.00037 and 0.00040 but that's as accurate as I can determine due to rounding.) If 0.0004 is a single sale, then 0.0341 is about 85 copies sold. That's all it takes to get on the iTunes top 100 chart these days. Probably a quarter of that to make the top 200. It also means that the top song is selling around (1.0000 / 0.00004=) 2,500 copies. I suspect that's over a 24 hour period. But it shows how much iTunes single sales have dropped.

^ Same as Lizzo who had a biggest rise on the radio today with Truth Hurts (+4.5 million)! That gain for Lizzo is inflated; it's shown up in the top 50 on the expanded panel for Urban (accounting for like 2.5 million in that AI gain), so that's a 4th format that's been factored into Kworb's estimates.
