I like Goodbyes but agree that Young Thug is bizarre featuring artist on it. He doesn't give anything extra, for neither to the song nor the marketing purposes.

Young Thug is featured on Goodbyes for the exact same reason Quavo was featured on Congratulations, Ty Dolla $ign was featured on Psycho and Swae Lee was featured on Spoil My Night/Sunflower. People on this forum aren't ready to have that conversation, though, so let's just stick to chart discussions. |

Goodbyes only got 5,022,096 yesterday on Spotify. depending how much of that is from the US #1 could be unlikely. Senorita got 10,597,191 yesterday though alot of it's numbers are outside the US.

I actually like Young Thug in "Goodbyes", he's different and peculiar in it. I thought he added nothing to "Havana" though - particularly since I can't even understand what he's saying in it.

I know that but as i was saying the numbers for it seemed quite low considering how big Post Malone is .Old Town Road on the official global chart had over 6.5 Million combined on yesterdays chart. Goodbyes should be way under that though it all comes down to how they compare on the US chart. |

Yes, the official 24h numbers don't miraculously grow from what the Spotify web app states so if they worse than OTR there, they remain so.
And even if the US figures are better for Goodbyes than for OTR, the gap is very narrow.

Goodbyes did manage to debut at #1 in the US Spotify daily chart but not by an overwhelming margin.

Wow. was dropped without warning (and no promo whatsoever) in the middle of the week during Christmas freeze and still managed to pull in bigger numbers than heavily promoted Sunflower and Goodbyes. I guess it's true when they say that quality always wins.  |

^Even Best Part of Me did better yesterday, which I find surprising. I think most of it can be chalked up to the New Music Friday playlist. It put Best Part of Me way ahead of Blow so a lot of people probably thought Best Part of Me was "the new ed sheeran song" |

Might do like 80-90k in its first week. I guess "massive" is better stated as a decent album bomb but being hyperbolic is more fun so we'll stick with that. Especially since it's being pushed as a legit single. There's still potential for it to grow, though, so there's that. Senorit debuted at 6.5 million streams and almost hit 10 million streams yesterday. |
