GAY|69
The next song is a gay staple, even more than most of the songs on this list and that's saying a lot, yet its peak rank is #7 - the last remaining song without a single rank in anyone's Top 5.

The following still have songs from their Bottom 10 remaining:
I think George Michael may be the only gay to survive into the Top20
my top 10 songs of the week: 1) Everyone Knows I'm High - SHAED 2) Kleptocracy - OMD 3) Burning Down The House - Paramore 4) Spare Me The Decision - Nation Of Language 5) Running - Norah Jones 6) Burial Ground - Decemberists (w/ James Mercer) 7) Overcompensate - twenty-one pilots 8) Capricorn - Vampire Weekend 9) One Night/All Night - Justice (w/ Tame Impala) 10)Broken Man - St Vincent

Holy shit I just noticed that too. The gay 80's have been pulverized, but Madonna has been known to get freaky with chicks and Prince wasn't tied down to any gender. ;)

Why are "Believe" and especially "Born This Way" still here
Like, I was a Little Monster at the time--attended the 2010 Tacoma show--and enjoyed the album more than most people, and even I've always thought the title track was underwhelming af
I love that we are always finding ways to try to get someone to listen to our flop faves. No YOP thread, RT theme, or Games section stone will be left unturned in our mission to get somebody, anybody to validate our taste in music. That is when you know the love of the music is real. Like "LISTEN TO THESE SONGS THEY'RE GREAT DAMMIT PLEASE GIVE MY FAVES 0.0000002 CENTS ON SPOTIFY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD." It's the modus operandi of Pulse so much at this point.

I can understand the question of Born This Way, Iβm also a little surprised it made the top 20 here but Believe has become a capital GA Gay Anthem. Or have I been wrong?
Pretty damn good top 20. A couple of songs have technically "overstayed", but there was no way those songs weren't making the top 20. There's a couple of pleasant surprises in the top 20 too, though, so it balances out.

As a huge Gaga fan, I agree. It's definitely an important song, but off Born This Way (the album) I don't find myself returning to it as much as the rest of the album
An Indigenous term describing those who have a masculine and feminine spirit, in the context of gender or sexual identity. It is represented as part of the extended LGBTQ+ acronym.
a place gay (or bi, or closeted) men go to to socialize or engage in sexual activities that is 'private'. They're less popular and probably less essential now that being gay isn't seen as being 'taboo' (in some places) but back when it was, these places existed that allowed gay men to get together.
