Let's get on with some words about the actual bottom 10. No big losses for me iether. 100. Everything About You - Ugly Kid Joe This was a close top half loss for me. I don't understand what's so bad about it? The worst part would be the stupid band name. It's like they wanted a borderline Grunge band name but had a guy who sounds like Vince Neil yet the band looked like Nirvana. A really dumb combination just to appeal to all rock fans, and yet still fails with PULSE. This appealed to me strictly for those Vince Neil wanna be vocals. Vince Neil ruled back then. 99. Gun Love - ZZ Top I wonder if we tank songs based on song titles alone? "Gun Love" is obviously very Sleaze Rock related song title. Truthfully I love what the song says. In this instance lyrics overpower the actual music, but comon' man, this still rocks proper. 98. I Love You Period - Dan Baird Not the biggest fan of Dan Baird vocals. This song might as well have been a Georgia Satellites filler song. It's still pretty decent in the guitar department. 97. Make Love Like a Man - Def Leppard "Pour Some Sugar On Me" part two. How The F U C K does someone tank that? I'll tell you something if this album had slayed the way Hysteria did all Def Lepp songs would have made the top 10 here. The lyrics hit the song's vibe like a hammer. Strong and hard. "Don't call me Gigolo Don't call me Casanova Just call me on the phone And baby come on over" How can you resist singing screaming that phrase? 96. She Runs Hot - Little Village Unknown band gets tanked. This was a first time listen for me. The lyrics were good, but needed better vocals. I would have ranked this a bit higher if say John Mellencamp had sang it. 95. Days of Light - Roger Daltrey My my wTf happened to Roger Daltrey here? Great vocals waysted on some run of the mill campfire music. 94. Thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven - Bryan Adams This might be the lowest score I gave Bryan Adams. I didn't chart this. It isn't this bad for bottom 10, but I didn't think that Foreigner vibe in the intro fit his style. 93. Every Time I Roll the Dice - Delbert McClintonThis one really felt outta place here. Not a bad Country rock vibe, but I didn't care for the CCR vocal style. 92. I'm a Steady Rollin' Man - George Thorogood I don't usually tank George Thorogood this much , but this song was B-B-B-B BAD. 91. Soul Doctor - Foreigner Wow. PULSE has no soul. 'nuff said. 90. Love Is Alive - Joe Cocker The biggest memory I have of Joe Cocker is John Belushi's impersonation of him on Saturday Night Live. That shit was hilarious. This song? Not so much. 89. Don't Tread on Me - Damn YankeesNot their best. "Coming of Age" and 'Higher" will perform a lot better when we rank them.

86. Def Leppard - Let's Get Rocked*Video for "Let's Get Rocked" was indeed weird. The kid looked like a cat or something, but the fans loved it because of the rebellious theme. The song was 100% adrenaline and the best Rock song of the year. "Machine Gun" in a close second. The song was one of the last Rock N Roll anthems that went top 10 on billboard and it was straight out #1 on Active. This RD is completely ass backwards. There are still some really WTF songs in my bottom 10, but if I have to rant anymore about Def Leppard I'm probably just gonna have to kill all of you, so now I'm moving on to extras.

EXTRAS:
Unsung - Helmet How many here can say they like this song and "Make Love Like Man"? Only me? Really? :kii:
Go Back to Your Woods - Robbie Robertson I didn't really connect with this one. His vocals are way too low.
Hammer to Fall - Queen This is straight out Album Rock vibe. Freddy's vocals took Queen jams to another level.
Desireé - Rick Vito Not bad. A little too bluesy, and not too memorable, but Stevie Nicks sounds good.
Home Sweet Home '91 - Mötley Crüe This is picture perfect Power Metal ballad. Who else has read "The Dirt"? That book got me sooooooo envious of them. They had ups and downs, but the parts about the party antics were my favorites. My top 10 will be jammed pack with this band when we rank their songs. Active chart was lame for not letting this one go straight to #1. It was #1 on MTV's TRL for weeks. Even higher than Nirvana party rock jam too. The original version of this song peaked at #89 if you can believe that? this reworked louder version went to #37. Still too low IMOP.
Leap of Faith - Bruce Springsteen Pretty good, but I still like yesterday's extra the best.
Stir It Up - Tesla More great Hair Metal. Charted this one too.
In Heaven - McQueen Street I got this cd for this song alone. They have better jams, but this was a strong Powerballad, and every Hair Metal band was making a powerballad back then. The talent and competition was tuff unless you had graduated to Glam Metal status.
Elected (Live) - Def Leppard idk who the hell is this guy? this is the actual song by Del Leppard in the backround. The least he could have done is upload a photo of the band too. It's called respect. BTW, bitchin song. probably in my top 15 too.
Until Your Love Comes Back Around - RTZ First time listen. There are powerballad elements here, but not exactly the kind I flip for.
Seen the Doctor - Michael Penn Actually sounds pretty good for Active too. This has more Soul Asylum vibe then you realize.
Solar Sex Panel - Little Village I liked the song we ranked tonight a lot better. This guys liked using cock rock song titles. Little do they know that PULSE tanks sex :kii:
I Just Wanna - KISS I totaly flip for that chorus. Paul will always be my favorite hard Rock front man. I truly believe Billboard was always jealous of Kiss and tried to keep there songs at bottom of Hot 100. They probably made one last deal for "Foerver" to go Top 10, and Billboard only let it happen because the song is written by Michael Bolton. Anyway, "Revenge" had 5 singles. Count them 5. Including the powerballad "Everytime I look At You" and Gene Simmons "Domino". I gave "I Just Wanna" a #7 peak on my weekly chart.
Neighbor - Ugly Kid Joe This poor band is hated by PULSE as much as POM. Same thing goes for this song. Terrible combo of look, vocals and sound. This band was confused to say the least.

{GUESS WE'RE DOING A WORD WALL}#100: What an obnoxious song. I expected it to be my #100 going into the rankdown...and then another song happened. #99: Arguably the worst ZZ Top song I've heard, and certainly one of the worst. Sounds incredibly dated. #98: This song was hilarious. This probably should have been in my bottom three, but this is one of those rare cases where a song was so bad that it's actually kind of enjoyable. That chorus might be the greatest thing we've encountered in an Active rankdown, and we've had such legendary moments as F UCK THAAAAAAAAAAAT and WHOO! YEAH! THIS IS FOR THE SOLDIERS! #97: Okay, even though I haven't particularly ranked Def Leppard high up until this point, 1992 was, without question, their worst year so far. As bad as their other songs were in this rankdown, though, this particular song was insufferable. It takes a lot for me to rank a song below "Everything About You", but "I'm a man, that's what I am" takes the rotten cake. #96: This was the definition of "meh". Probably should not have been below a couple of songs in particular, but what can you do? #95: One of the worst songs I've heard Roger Daltrey be a part of. It wasn't TERRIBLE, really, but it was pretty lame. #94: Yeah, I'm of the opposite opinion. I wasn't the biggest fan of the other Bryan song in this rankdown, but it's still better than this typical Bryan Adams cheesefest. #93: This likely would have been in my bottom ten in 1993. Yeah... #92: There are songs not in my bottom 25 that I didn't really care for. This year was pretty, pretty weak. Having said that, Thorogood has definitely made worse songs. It's just a little bit too much like most of his other songs. #91: Not exactly the best first impression from Foreigner. (Great understatement there, Red.) #90: I can put up with Joe Cocker's voice normally, but here, it was...not great. #89: I don't have the other Damn Yankees song much higher, but at least it was somewhat tolerable compared to this MAGA-infested tripe. The fact that it wasn't in my bottom five says a lot about how bad this rankdown could get. And thanks for taking my material, gates. #88: Is it weird that I was expecting more from this song? #87/#86: Here's your receipt for the rest of the 90's, Doc. EXTREE, EXTREE: Sure, another potential top five in "Unsung" to kick things off. I would have had "Hammer to Fall" fairly high, to the surprise of absolutely no one. Meanwhile, the '91 version of "Home Sweet Home" is just completely unnecessary. The original did not need a re-recording.

Wow, you REALLY don't like Def Leppard question mark: 100. Everything About You---Everything about this sucked. Starting with the use of the worst SNL running sketch ever...Pat made The Californians look like Wayne's World. Then throw in some obnoxious vocals, two or three song changes and I think headbutting the nearest wall sounds like more fun than listening to this EVER again. 99. Gun Love---It felt like someone told ZZ Top to imitate AC/DC and then toss in some cringy lyrical metaphors and annoying music. The result was a full ZZ Stop. 98. I Love You Period---As Red pointed out, this was just a fun song. Maybe a bit dumb, but fun. I liked this song period Do you like fun question mark Based on these rankings, I guess not exclamation point You never like fun songs in parentheses :kii: 97. Make Love Like a Man---This was a very meh song for Def Leppard. How is making love like a man different than making it like a woman? One never gets the answer from this song. 96. She Runs Hot---The hatred of the YouTube songs was strong this time...and for really no good reason as we got enough bad ones as it is. This one reminded me of Dire Straits (and was arguably better than the songs from the group this year). It was a cute song. 95. Days of Light---Ooh, I've been waiting to use this gif. For starters, this Roger Daltrey tune is a thousand times better than that piece of garbage strewn, excrement covered, clusterf song that Roger WATERS threw up in this round. Second, the vocals were decent and catchy. If anything, it reminded me of a classic Who song. 94. Thought I Died and Gone to Heaven---Two real problems with this Bryan Adams song. One was the length which I don't have an issue with as long as the artist uses that time properly. Bryan didn't. Second was the vocals sounded like he was just barely trying. The other song was somewhat better but not a LOT better as I tend to like his faster paced, harder hitting stuff. 93. Every Time I Roll the Dice---The cowbell and harmonica were rolling lucky sevens, but the vocals kept crapping out ensuring this song's loss at the table. 92. I'm a Steady Rollin' Man---First, y'all messed up on Get a Haircut which is better than every one of his songs we ranked so far. Second, the meh lyrics canceled out the solid guitar leading to a mediocre song which yeah, deserved better than bottom 10. 91. Soul Doctor---It was OK for Foreigner, but they've done MUCH better. 90. Love is Alive---Those vocals by Cocker were annoying and looked like it was barely trying. It's a long way from Woodstock... 89. Don't Tread on Me---As a general rule, songs that threaten me don't do well. That guitar was solid, though. I think I kept politics away from the other song which was WAY better, almost like Night and Day. 88. When I'm Gone---MSG/Schenker McAuley or however they're known did deserve better than this. This almost felt like a Power Ballad from Led Zeppelin. 87. Let's Get Rocked---Much like I Love You Period, this was dumb fun that worked. It helps that the instruments were nicely done. PS: I don't judge songs based on the music video but the song itself. 86. Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad?---Weird this was the highest ranking Def song, but OK. It was a fairly nice power ballad from them. And those are my opinions for this first round. Hoping to see most of my other bottom 10 songs show up tonight along with a few other dregs.

Yet another 1980s artist feels like they're going through the motions in the early 1990s...what else is new?
