Praying for Shallow to cling in the top50... 45weeks come on... the longevity and to think some users here said that the song will frefall after the Oscars and that it might be the first no.1 to not chart in the YearEnd.. CLOWNS, literally CLOWNS Kay, enough with Shallow... do you guys think OTR will break the longest running top10 in H100>???? It won't come close OTR? itll obviously come close.

My prediction for OTR
#1 (19 weeks) *even 20 weeks is possible, but I think 19 is more likely top 10 (28 weeks)
OTR is falling so fast on Radio, it's barely in the top 10 on Spotify, #18 on AM, only one version in the top 150 on iTunes (#4). It still has good YouTube numbers tho.
I like this song a lot, but it's time for a new #1.

We all know that it's Youtube (+ several versions) that is keeping it in top 3 currently. If it was like a regular track, it would be somewhere #5 right now and on its way down. I'm 99% sure that it'll get 30+ weeks in top ten thanks to streaming alone.

I would expect YouTube views to take a significant hit once school is back in session, since by most reports it's young kids who are watching it and they'll have much less time to do so.

Well we have all been waiting for the freefall for a while now and it is still #1
It still gets a boatload of streaming which should keep it afloat

Henri Belolo, co-founder of Village People, dies aged 82
www.theguardian.com/music/2019/aug/08/henri-belolo-co-founder-village-people-dies-aged-82 Henri Belolo, a co-founder of pop group Village People, has died aged 82. The group confirmed the news on their Facebook page, along with Belolo’s record label Scorpio, who wrote in tribute: “We extend our deepest sympathies to Henri’s family ... Henri will live on in our hearts and minds forever.” Born in Casablanca in 1936, Belolo began his career as a producer, concert promoter and A&R man in Paris, where he worked with artists including film star Jeanne Moreau. In 1973, he moved to New York where he formed the Village People with producer Jacques Morali and singer Victor Willis. With their emphatic embrace of gay stereotypes and their uplifting disco tracks, the group reached No 1 in the UK with YMCA and No 2 with In the Navy. Both songs also reached the Top 3 in the US. Belolo, who was straight, and not one of the performers in the flamboyant six-member group, formed Village People after he and Morali saw future member Felipe Rose dancing in a gay bar dressed as a Native American. “We’re looking at the Indian, and on my left I saw a cowboy, like the Marlboro cowboy,” Belolo remembered in 2004. “Stetson on his head, a moustache, good-looking, looking at the Indian dancing. And Morali turned to me and said, ‘Oh God, are you thinking what I’m thinking?’” Belolo said he formed the group, in part, as a way to champion gay rights. “I really did it as a provocative, subversive way of telling you: this is the way it is,” he said. “I did not like that American mentality of bigotry and hypocrisy.” He was credited as a co-writer on the group’s hits, though his name was later removed from a number of them after a successful lawsuit from Willis, who claimed he wrote the English-language lyrics for the group. Belolo’s company had argued he wrote French lyrics that Willis adapted. Willis has nevertheless paid tribute to Belolo, saying he was “devastated” by the news and that Belolo “leaves an impressive body of work that helped shape the disco genre, and as a record executive, he was par excellence”.

Hot Girl Summer by Megan Thee Stallion is going to be a interesting track to watch out for this coming week due to its quick rise to number one on iTunes as well as it's currently in the top 5 on AM.

Random question: Do y'all think Ransom has a chance at #1? Not now but like in a month or 2? It seems like it's skyrocketing everywhere

Its not my favorite but it would be nice to see someone born in the 2000s finally get a #1 if Billie doesn't get it first

Hanson, the first act born in the 80s to hit #1, did it in 1997. Sean Kingston, the first born in the 90s, did it in 2007. It would have been cool to see this odd coincidence continue in 2017.

If Goodbyes' performance is any indication, I highly doubt that. Circles could debut high like Goodbyes, and drop for a few weeks, then rise again with radio It could, but unsurprisingly, Goodbyes didn't have the kind of impact some people might have expected. Up until a few days ago, it was pulling in less streams on Spotify US than Money in the Grave, a song that's been out 3 weeks sooner than it. Even now, it isn't pulling in that many more streams than Money in the Grave in Spotify US and Money in the Grave is pulling in way more streams than it on Apple Music US. It's doing well on radio and it'll rise like every Post Malone single does, I just think he's started to get overexposed and any future singles he drops won't smash as much as his songs usually do. If you think about it, he hasn't really stopped since at least September 2017 when Rockstar dropped. He dropped Rockstar, then Psycho then his album, which spurned Better Now, then Sunflower, then Wow. and now Goodbyes and we'll probably be getting Circles in about a month or so. He always has a massive single in rotation and that will only work for as long as it can until it doesn't anymore and that happens to every artist. I'm waiting to see what actually happens.

Neither Lil Tecca or Billie Eilish were alive during the September 11 attacks. (Though Billie would've been a fetus.) Lil Nas X was still an infant during "...Baby One More Time." Hardly anyone in the top 10 would have any strong recollection of the 90s.
