Judging roughly using Simon's preds, I think OTR will get this week at #1 and then get overtaken by Bad Guy, Senorita and Truth Hurts simultaneously on 8/31.

HGS is looking like a #9/#10 debut. Very good.
Someone overtake OTR already. It's getting boring lol.

Lil Tecca Ransom ft. Juice WRLD is dropping sometime soon, could this push it to #1?

Billie is about to start dropping on radio any minute now... :( Would love to see it happen but I think timing will not work out for it... unless she's this year's miracle #1 hit a la "That's What I Like" or "Havana".

I want it to have a nice 20 weeks. I think it'll get 20. Hoping it's just 20 at this point (and that we don't get another huge 10+ weeks at #1 song for a while). I enjoyed the variety of #1s we got earlier in the year a lot. The label and LNX seem to be moving their efforts into "Panini", which means there's probably no more remixes at least.

He had released 7 songs prior to “Bump & Grind”, 2 of which were big R&B number ones between 1991-1992 and he was certainly big on the urban circuit, he also had an R&B number one album, however “Bump & Grind” was his first ever song to hit the top ten of the Hot 100 and chart at number one. Another artist would be “Tupac”. The man had two BB200 top tens including a number one before he scored his first top ten Hot 100 hit which also became his first and only number one, “California Love/How Do U Want It”.

Her first album was a hit but yielded zero top 10 hits. Young Thug with "Havana". Robin Thicke with "Blurred Lines". Adele with "Rolling In The Deep". Mark Ronson with "Uptown Funk!". Billie would count if BG goes #1.

His only other top 10 is a feature for Meghan Trainor's Like I'm Gonna Lose You Janelle Monae as featured artist for We Are Young. It's still her only top 40 charted song actually

Tupac had a Top 10 hit before that though. "Dear Mama" peaked at #9 a year before "How Do U Want It" / "California Love" went to #1.

Rihanna and Drake were close to achieving this, but both of their first top 10 hits stopped at #2.

Rihanna and Drake were close to achieving this, but both of their first top 10 hits stopped at #2. And neither was established before that, which I think it's what the original question was asking. Otherwise, people going #1 with their debut single is quite common (Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Lil Nas X, Kesha, Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor, Magic!, OMI, ZAYN, etc...) Chance the Rapper is another example. Established way before "I'm The One" became his first #1 hit and top 10.

They started gaining traction and having songs chart in 2013-14, yet their first top 10 hit was also their first number one three years later.

I thought Old Town Road would only be number 1 for 19 weeks, but it could end up going to 21.
