This is a track that Swedish producer/DJ Eric Prydz released in 2004. This was based on a concept by French production duo Together (DJ Falcon & Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk). They made a track sampling vocals from Steve Winwood's "Valerie" that they played in their sets with no intention of ever releasing it. Eric borrowed that concept and Steve Winwood liked it so much that he re-recorded the vocal samples and it was released. It went on to be #1 throughout much of Europe and ushered in a trend of more songs being produced in this style. The music video is far more well known because of how over the top it was. Two versions were made with the same actors/dancers, but one featured slightly more sexually explicit content. The video for Kygo & Whitney Houston's "Higher Love" which is a cover of the Steve Winwood song has a similar video treatment.
I was a huge fan of this track when it first came out and I still like it for nostalgic reasons, but I do wish more of the vocal had been used. The video was hilariously tacky.

I came in to post about the similarities in the "Higher Love" video to this one, only to have the connection made for me that both originate from Steve Winwood songs.
This song is still fantastic though. I never found Eric Prydz' other songs as compelling.

I never found Eric Prydz' other songs as compelling. Eric employed a similar formula for a track sampling Howard Jones' "Things Will Get Better" which was called " And Do You Feel Scared" in 2005 that saw a promotional release in 2006. I don't think it ever got a proper commercial release. I actually liked this one. The only other Eric track I liked was " Pjanoo", particularly as remixed by the Freemasons. They also did a mashup of their own track "Watchin" which was based on Deborah Cox's "It's Over Now" and their remix of "Pjanoo" called " Pjanoo v Watchin".

Omg I just discovered this song a few months ago and I was hooked
He's literally just repeating "Call On Me" but it's so addicting
