Usually I'd imagine it's like:

Dated=Bad
Retro/Throwback=Good

Kinda like Youthful/Childish where one is positive and one is negative based on connotation lol. Regardless, Paper Rings better stay in far longer, dated or not!

There was a point while I was tabulating the results that I thought both You Need To Calm Down AND ME! would finish outside the Top 10, which (to me) would be unprecedented for a Pulse rankdown but it quickly recovered and had a pretty solid finish at #7. But this song has one of the highest standard deviations, plus the fact its median is lower than the previous four songs indicates that a lot of people were pretty meh on it but the ones who liked it gave it fairly strong support with two #1s and seven #2 placements, only one other song has more #2s.
