I don't think I see this as a #1 anymore (I'd love to be wrong though!), but I'm really hoping for a top 10 finish. It'll need a couple of really strong weeks for that to happen though.
No matter how much further it goes, this has to be seen as a massive success though. This has exceeded even my biggest expectations by so much already.

Yeah, this one right now isn't quite acting like a future #1. We've been spoiled recently with the uptick in female #1s, but I'm not too optimistic about this one watching its gains as of late. That said, I'm still floored that this one sailed to #1 in Canada, which is honestly almost a harder feat for someone like her since it's rare for newer/un-established artists to do well on that chart. Granted its a smaller marker than the U.S., but it still seems like a promising milestone for her, plus it's done very well here with it coming within reach of the top 10 (and I feel like there's still a good chance it gets there). The sales for the song have been pretty nice lately too with it being pretty consistently in the top 100 on iTunes.
Hopefully she can get another hit off the record after this one, too.

I hope she can get at least another hit off of the album, too. Canadian country radio is a lot less manipulated than US country radio, so it doesn't totally surprise me. If a song really connects with the audience, it has a decent chance of really succeeding in Canada, because there isn't so much label/radio politics to contend with.

Sad that this isn't looking like it's gonna hit #1, but I'm very much still ecstatic about how it's done on the charts, considering her first album was virtually ignored outside of the Grammy Award it was nominated for. If Ashley was able to hit #1 in Canada then I have no doubt it's possible for her to do it here. It's coming up on the colder months so for single #2 I'd go with "Sparrow" if they want a slower song; it's also very much a signature song waiting to leave its mark and I think it has a chance to do quite well with country radio.

I realize this may be way too optimistic, but I remember "I Hope You're Happy Now" stalling right around where this one is now (#13 ish) and we all made the call it probably wouldn't hit #1, but it did. I really do think it can still happen!
There are a lot of future #1 hits currently charting below it, and while basically all of them are outpacing this song, I think this could definitely secure top 5. Once Maddie & Tae, Chris Janson, and Justin Moore go recurrent, that should put it nicely in top 10... After that we'll just have to see how fast HARDY/Matt Stell/Blake Shelton move.
It certainly helps its case that this is the only solo female song in the top 30.

What helped Carly was the fact that there was such a LARGE gap between her and the songs below it that it naturally got sucked up to the top of my chart. Where as Ashley McBryde's song below it aren't as far back.

It was struggling at the same time Riley Green's last single was in the same area of the chart, and his topped out at #12. The testing just wasn't quite bad enough with Carly's song to inhibit it from going the distance. Definitely helped that Lee Brice was on it, too.

But I am not wrong like you are pretty much sayomh, Carly's song was majorly helped by being sucked up to the top of the chart since it was such a large gap between it and the songs below it. I agree with your points you brought up .indulgecountry but I feel like you look at my points as invalid and wrong when they aren't.

For a song to get "sucked up to the top of the chart," that would mean it would have to not be making any gains (or have super small gains, if anything), and every song above it falls below it, which didn’t happen at all. From what I remember, IHYHN stalled just outside the top 10 for quite a while, but then started picking up gradually with a sizable gap between it and the next song below it. Since there was a huge gap, it was able to make steady gains for a while without any immediate threats, but then when it started getting closer to the top 5, the callouts became really impressive and it exploded to #1 a few weeks later.

I agree with your points you brought up .indulgecountry but I feel like you look at my points as invalid and wrong when they aren't. I didn't say your points were "invalid" but a song can't just get lifted all the way to #1 because there's a bit of an audience gap between it and other songs. She and Riley Green were competing for airplay outside the top 10 at the same time and his song failed while her's didn't. Your logic is saying that "Grandpa" would've been a #1 hit too then, but it wasn't. Her hitting #1 had a lot more to do with the strength of her promo team, the song's age, Lee Brice being on it, testing not being as bad as Riley's song, etc. Plenty of songs have not acted like a #1 hit on the charts (recent examples from Scotty McCreery, Travis Denning, Maddie & Tae, and LoCash that all floundered for months not doing much) and later went all the way anyway, so it's certainly possible "One Night Standards" can still make it to #1 yet.

Ad today in Country Aircheck saying “Max Exposure Now”. Is this the same as max spins?
I get wanting the top 10 peak but man, I really do think this can get at least top 5 or even #1.

Looks like this song is done judging by the loss of over a million audience as this songs official peak will be #7 on Mediabase and #11 on Billboard looking at the Artist History.

I really hope this isn’t done but that update doesn’t look good at all. I was hoping for a top 10 at least (Billboard). Still this has done better than I thought it would and I can see her building off of it if they play their cards right.

Well some were speculating that her label was potentially maxing this one, so it's possible maybe radio wasn't intent on letting this one get much higher so they pulled out all the stops to try and at least land it a top 10 peak on MB, though it came up short on BB. I hope that isn't the case and it can still keep climbing, but the audience loss in today's update is pretty egregious and irregular so it's looking like that's probably what happened. Shame if it is done, but I am also very excited for her to have a new single out as I've grown a bit tired of this one and her momentum at this point should afford her to do pretty well with the right follow-up single.
Love "Sparrow" and think it would be a nice move albeit a little risky, but I think "Hang in There Girl" stands out the most as the most obvious radio hit from the record aside from "Standards." I think "Martha Divine" and "Never Will" could have a shot at moderate success as well, though I don't think either are as safe as "Hang." Everything else on the album is a no from a radio standpoint.

Well, at least it's her first Top 10 hit, regardless of Billboard's finish. That's far better than I could've ever hoped for this song to achieve and I'm glad it did so well. As I said "Sparrow" would be a wonderful move imo but I can also see something like "Hang In There Girl."
