Decided to try something new here. I've always enjoyed doing and following charts. I used to do a countdown on another site and did it differently than the Weekly Country Chart and I'd like to adapt that format for a different chart.
First thing to figure out is what songs we will vote on each week. What I would like to do is have everyone submit a couple albums they want to be a part of this and choose their Top 3 choices for 3 singles. The #1 choice will be the first single.
We need 45 different singles. There has to be a limit of 12 Female Artist, 12 Male Artist, and 12 Groups or Duos. The remaining 9 spots can be any.
When you vote for the albums you need to choose 3 different albums that you would like to see included. For these 3 albums you can choose any Country album that has ever been released, with only 1 exclusion. Any album currently releasing singles is not eligible. Once an album has been done it cannot be done again in the future! You may choose 3 female artist albums, 2 female artist and 1 male artist, 1 female artist 1 male artist and a group, basically any combination of artist.

Now if an artist has a group of songs that you really like that you'd like to choose then you may make your own album. You do have to choose the track list and the 3 single choices so it will take a little more effort. The track list has to include a minimum of 10 songs. You can choose any songs really, including songs from other albums of the artist.

Once we have 45 songs we can start voting for the weekly chart. You may vote for multiple albums, I am not limiting how many you can submit but I will make sure that everyone that submits gets 1 in to begin with. So I hope some of you are interested in giving this a try and seeing how this plays out.

then for Album #3 you would add one last album. Say you choose Tim McGraw's A Place In The Sun album you could choose:
Single #1 - "Things Change"
Single #2 - "Telluride"
Single #3 - "Set This Circus Down"

If you decide you'd like to create an album separate from an artist actual albums then you can. To do this you would choose the artist and then come up with an album title. Next you would choose the track list, which can have as few songs as 10 to as many as 18.
If you chose to have Lee Ann Womack as your artist you could choose to create an album like the following:

1 - A Little Past Little Rock
2 - Liars Lie
3 - There Is A God

A #1 vote will be worth 20 points, while a #2 vote will be worth 16 points. A #3 vote will be worth 13 points, while a #4 vote will be worth 12 points and so on.
For every person that votes for a song it'll receive a bonus point for the week.
Any song that does not receive a single vote in a week will get a negative point that will stay with it permanently.
A song can only earn a negative point 3 ways. 2 of these ways will result in a permanent negative point and the 3rd will be a weekly one.
#1 - Receiving no votes in a week is worth 1 negative point
#2 - As of week 16 on the chart all songs will earn 1 negative point a week.
#3 - Along with voting your Top 15 songs you will also vote for 1 song that is your least favorite and that song will receive 1 negative point for that one week.
There are 3 ways a song will go in-active and be retired:
#1 - reach week 24
#2 - Total points for a week equals 0 or is a negative #
#3 - Receiving a total of 15 negative points in a single week.
Lastly each week we will vote for what the next single should be from each album. You do not need to take part in all of these and you do not need to do it every week, really just once before it is time for the next single comes out. Also once an album is retired it cannot be re-added at a later time. You can vote for an album to have no new singles. Once we get to that point I'll explain this more.
