I'd say Lewis Capaldi has a stronger chance at #1 on radio after Lizzo over Goodbyes, since that one has competition from Circles. Whoa, Lewis Capaldi stans. "Someone You Loved" has to make the top 10 before it can be a stronger candidate for #1 over a song that has spent multiple weeks in the top 10 and is going to benefit from an album bomb...

According to Wikipedia, “Allergic” is being sent to Alternative Radio making it the 5th single from Hollywood’s Bleeding.

How on earth did Bryan Adams’ “Everything I Do” spend only 7 weeks at number one on the Hot 100 when it was number one for +16 weeks in sales?
If any song should have been the first to surpass Elvis Presley’s “record” during that time, it should have been this song as opposed to “End of the Road”.
I’m still very surprised...
I send Soundscan debuted not too long after (perhaps that would have helped), but how long after?

The airplay and singles charts were using Nielsen BDS and SoundScan by that point but the Hot 100 didn't switch over from ranked playlists and store reports until December of 1991. Blame the outdated methods of measurement I guess.

"Someone You Loved" has about 2/3 the radio audience that Lizzo has. Even on its strongest segment that's a steep hill to climb for the track to get anywhere close to #1. Temper your expectations there unless you say radio giving the song a huge push, which doesn't appear to be the case yet.

"Someone You Loved" has to make the top 10 before it can be a stronger candidate for #1 over a song that has spent multiple weeks in the top 10 and is going to benefit from an album bomb... Choco is referring to the airplay chart (where Lewis is already #8 and Goodbyes is #10), not the Hot 100. Everything else between Lewis and Lizzo has now peaked in airplay and Lewis is currently gaining faster than Goodbyes, meaning it's becoming increasingly more likely that Lewis would get there before Goodbyes does. I am not even sure if I can see Goodbyes making it to #1 on airplay. Circles is taking its wind. or literally everything Choco just said lol. Lewis is clearly already getting a radio push. According to Wikipedia, “Allergic” is being sent to Alternative Radio making it the 5th single from Hollywood’s Bleeding. I don't understand, why not send Take What You Want? Nah, that makes sense. Allergic will probably be sent to that format only, running alongside Goodbyes/Circles on pop. TWYW OTOH will likely be an all-relevant-formats single, so it would make more sense to hold off on it until it can be sent to all of them at the same time. Sending it to formats in different weeks would greatly aid its chart longevity (and he hardly needs help with that) but mess with its potential Hot 100 peak.

Try checking the top 50 thread in the pop forum. Plenty of room for continued growth, and by the time Lewis is up there Lizzo should be on her way down.

I'd be surprised if Ransom failed to go top 3 after all the effort. Might be another case of airplay peaking too late compared to streaming.

If “Take What You Want” goes too 10, Ozzy Osbourne would break the record for longest gap between two top ten singles right?
Isn’t Paul McCartney the current record holder with “Spies Like Us” to “FourFiveSeconds”?

Take What You Want blocking Sunflower from coming back to the top 10... Don't know how I feel about this lmao Things are very tight there for positions 9-11 and Simon has been quite inaccurate when it comes to pre-release singles for TUN and Lover so I still feel like Sunflower will return... gut feeling tho no facts and figures

Allergic is more radio friendly than TWYW imo, but TWYW should be the next song he really pushes after he's done with pushing Circles.

Apple Music was still in its infancy when Rihanna’s “ANTI” was also released. As a matter of fact, “ANTI” wasn’t put on both Spotify and Apple Music until towards the end of its second week of release, which means that the albums true streaming numbers weren’t shown until its third week of release where it moved +80K SPS. As for “25”, it wasn’t released to streaming services until several weeks after its release also. Rihanna may be the most Globally ‘Streamed Female Act’ by way of hard numbers but #R9 will be a testament to the true streaming power she’s garnered since her last release, the same goes to Adele also, and whether or not they have the same pull that Ariana Grande has developed since 2018. I also highly doubt that Rihanna will not be releasing her new album to every streaming service on the first day. She’s cut significant ties with TIDAL (everybody has, except Beyonce) so they will have no room to sabotage its release. Jesus do you gotta post this everyweek

OMG!
I wasn’t expecting “Truth Hurts” to be so incredibly dominant.
Two weeks of over 400 points thus far is absolutely great.

Rihanna stats when she has nothing to do with the current week, and you didn't. Someone was posting about someone who isn't Rihanna and you decided to brag about your faves. Post in the hot 100 random thoughts thread which I'm pretty certain was created soley because of you.

That's not a biased prediction though, he's just a chart predictor Must be terrible at it then. Circles is only ahead of Truth Hurts on on demand streaming (it's not even ahead on YouTube). And the airplay gap is pretty significant. I could see the idea being thrown around if Thruth Hurts wasn't also strong in streaming right now or if Circles was performing like 15-20% better on streaming than it currently is, but neither of those are the case. That's not saying it's going to be far behind Truth Hurts, but I just don't see any possibly way Circles can be #1 this week. I'm not even convinced it will pass Señorita.

Who is currently the oldest act to have a top 10 & top 20 Hot 100 hit?
Ozzy Osbourne may/will surpass that record, no?
