Has anyone heard this song yet? It is suppose to be going for adds on January 13th. I am a huge fan of Orgy and I can not wait until I get a chance to hear it. I have been searching around but I haven't even found a clip of the song to listen to.

Still waiting to hear this song. I really hope it is better than their material from "Vapor Transmission"

I have finally found a quality version of Orgy's new release "The Obvious". At first listen I pegged it as a "Vapor Transmission" reject but now that I have gotten to listen to it a few more times I think it's their best single since "Stitches"

It's pretty good. I personally think album #2 was infinitely better than album #1, tho I'm probably the only one here who thinks that. This is pretty good.

I liked "Vapor Transmission" but I think of "Candyass" as a breakthrough cd. A cd that redefined eletronic rock.

Candyass is okay, but I found stuff like "Fetisha" to be a bit bland for some reason (although I truly do love "Stitches" and "Fiend"), but I like VT better becuase it's more electronic without being less rock, and it shows that the band is capable of making a great album that has less than one cover on it, and I personally thought that the lyrics were a bit of an improvement. However, it's not as mass-friendly I guess, and that's why everyone likes the first one better.

About what I expected.
Orgy chart history:
#6 Blue Monday (1998) #18 Stitches (1999) #6 Fiction (Dreams In Digital) (2000) #25 Opticon (2001)
I'm not sure if this will make the top 20, though.

I am starting to get scared. "The Obvious" has yet to be seen on any of the rock formats :(

Thanx for the link, Rebirth!
With no push from a major label and electronic rock bafflingly out of favor right now (when it seems like, in one form or another, the only place left to explore), I'm afraid this song is going to get massively overlooked, which may ultimately kill their career.
On first listen, it's impressive only because it's new Orgy. I have a feeling it'll grow on me a lot, however. But since radio doesn't wanna touch it, I'll have to use this link many times until the album comes out, including 2-3 more times before I go to bed tonight. Thanks again.

Damn this song is not doing well at all >:( . I don't understand Orgy is an awesome band and this song rocks. I don't have any expectations for their new cd now :(

I bet that had they been on a more mainstream record label, this would not really be much of a problem. I mean, if Apartment 26 can chart, so can Orgy.

This song is totally dead in the water. Hopefully their 2nd single will do better. If they even release a 2nd single :(

And I just heard the Apt. 26 song tonight and my initial reaction was that it sucked. After loving "Backwards" in 2000, I had fairly high hopes for this. Apparently D1 just doesn't have the money to promote Orgy properly. (Fun fact: Apt. 26's singer, Biff Butler, is the song of Geezer Butler, bassist for Black Sabbath.)
