It would be interesting if it pulled an Independent Women. It's been a while since an original soundtrack song has hit #1. Sunflower? Shallow too??

^Well. That would a nice streak for this year then. It would be the first time since 1995 there would be 3 #1s that appeared in soundtracks.

I am shocked by how well Graveyard debuted on US Spotify... It's her strongest solo debut there to date.

So, is "Panini" entering the Top 10 very likely at this point?

Lmao at Hot being #1 non-PM song on AM still. Consumption must be very low and spread out there.

Lmao at Hot being #1 non-PM song on AM still. Consumption must be very low and spread out there. If your song has Gunna, Lil Baby, DaBaby, or Drake on it, you're guaranteed at least a few weeks as a top 5 mainstay on AM.

I was more referring to the parent album doing only 50k/week even with 3 songs in top ten of "Postless" AM. The consumption can't be super high there.

I kinda feel like consumption of streaming overall is down. Spotify didn't have a problem keeping more than ten songs over a million on an average Friday last year. Not to say streaming is losing steam though, I owe it more to the lack of huge artists dropping this year.

I think the stats say that streaming overall is increasing but people might be listening to older music more.

I'm well aware that's inevitable and unlike some folks I can gauge what to expect from the charts. My wants and personal commentary doesn't have to line up with my expectations and that's ok. Drake is a legend. Ariana is an icon. I'm getting less and less excited for their releases at the pace they're going as like the two biggest artists of 2018-2019 cycle.

I love weirdly specific predictions lol.
Drake and Ari are on auto-pilot. I want them to take a break unless they can do some exciting stuff again. This is partially audiences' fault. They still carried "boyfriend" to a decent peak and a Drake album of leftovers to #1. There's really no need for them to slow down or change things up a bit when they're easily killing the game. But one can hope.

I think Ariana actually switched things up between Sweetener and thank u, next. Both of those albums don't sound alike to me. As for Drake, Scorpion doubled down on his sound and he really didn't take any chances on that album, that's of course following Views and More Life that explored more diasporic sounds and influences.
I don't think artists need to take "chances" or change their sound fundamentally from project to project. Lana Del Rey hasn't really changed anything about the sound or style of music she makes and she's still good. She is already working on another album.
I think trying something different from time to time is great, but there's also a reason why artists have the comfort zone of things they've tried in the past, succeeded in and might feel the need to try again, albeit in a fresher way.
Personally, I'm just here for good music. I also like my favorite artists to be consistent and to not need to take 3-4 years per album.

Iβm just glad that this single has cover art woo hoo
Also, βThoughtsβ & βI Donβt Wanna Knowβ are the best songs on Charli

Not to say streaming is losing steam though, I owe it more to the lack of huge artists dropping this year. It has to be that or that there's more services out there. I would think streaming should sill be growing if sales are still decreasing. Unless everyone that bought music just switched over to the radio. lol

Guys were thinking about this all wrong we need Drake because you know who has the most hot 100 entries right now? The Glee Cast. Seriously. But Drake is really close and he is our only hope so even if he does a bunch of annoying album bombs he deserves the heroes treatment

Panini is #1 on US YouTube with 19.7m. First week Old Town Road isn't #1 on YouTube since the week starting March 29. So Nas dethroned himself after 25 weeks at #1 lmao
Watch Panini get the same UGC treatment as OTR and BB gives it 30m+ streams

I am shocked by how well Graveyard debuted on US Spotify... It's her strongest solo debut there to date. I have a feeling, even though "Nightmare" drastically underperformed, her upcoming era is going to be the one to bring her to A-list "it girl" status.
