Rose "Payola" Nylund I believe Bieber wound up releasing 'Sorry' a day early; I think that was why he was ahead of Adele after her first day out on radio with 'Hello'.

The Weeknd needs to step up his game. He is still a big deal but hype for his releases hasn't been so low since he broke out big with CFMF.

The Weeknd needs to step up his game. He is still a big deal but hype for his releases hasn't been so low since he broke out big with CFMF. I think he'll forever have a fanbase that's loyal to him when the time comes for him to go on tours, but he's definitely not the mainstream giant he was in 2015. His 2015 album is still his biggest album and the hits off that album are still his biggest. People can say the songs he's dropped since his 2016 album don't count as they're not "lead singles," but people didn't seem to care much for them and they all sounded repetitive. I don't see him moving up to 400K SPS with his next album seeing as Starboy couldn't even move 350K SPS in it's first week. I also don't see him scoring huge hits like he did back in 2015. He's peaked commercially, if you asked me.

This all assumes the guy that operates that site isn't someone who relies on the free charts You're not wrong, but it's definitely possible that they have a subscription. I guess we'll have to see if they update next week.

If the site has moved to subscription-based, there's a chance that posting them in the open would be considered against the rules of the board the way posting Soundscan figures are.

I was the reason Soundscan data got banned way back when so it makes sense to pose the question I guess Only difference is these charts even still are going to be widely available in other discussion forums regardless and we are talking about 10 bucks a month vs hundreds of thousands of dollars This won't affect me any as my access has not changed. May have to watch what I share though

Charlie Puth was never a reliable hitmaker. i guess you forgot: see you again, attention, how long... Only once has he had two songs in a row make the top 10 at Top 40 radio. In general his record is spotty. I didn't forget.

Most of the Billboard charts are locked off. After enjoying looking at them for years, I can't use it anymore! And I don't wanna pay to look at the charts! They have made a big mistake. We want free music charts! Damn!!

He seemed to have a large devoted fan-base even years before his mainstream success (which is why I take issue with people saying Love Me Harder made him famous, but I think they're usually joking anyway lol).

I do wonder the reason for the sudden change after years of it all being widely available. Maybe the shift in journalism no longer being as free and accessible as it has been influenced the change?

If they're making people pay for the charts, why can't they at least provide actual numbers for the songs? At least for the 3 main component charts and On-Demand Streaming

At least for the 3 main component charts and On-Demand Streaming If I'm not mistaken there's actually a way in which you can actually get the actual numbers for all of the songs that BB puts in their database. It's very expensive though, and it's been put in place long before yesterday.

A little more than 3 months left before we enter the new decade, but I think we can easily conclude that Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello will be the most pathetic, worthless, mediocre, fakest, gimmicky pop stars the industry has tried to force down people's throats this decade. I mean, I knew this for awhile, but this summer just confirmed my initial impressions.

To be honest, I'm shocked that they've provided so much for free for so long. They are in the business of providing data and it never made sense to me how that business model could work once they started offering everything for free.
I think they tried to pivot to online journalism (and borderline tabloid-y at times) but it doesn't seem like the 12 million ads on those articles could support them financially.

I'm confused as to whether Rihanna will be including new music from her or not:
Tuesday, September 17, 2019
A teaser trailer for Rihannaβs Savage X Fenty Show has surfaced. The project will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 territories worldwide beginning this Friday (9/20).
Riri's reps are calling this a "one of a kind visual and musical event [that gives] us a look into Rihannaβs creative process for her latest lingerie collection. Modeled by incredible, diverse talent, celebrating all genders and sizes, and featuring performances by the hottest music artists, nowhere else will you feel this kind of empowerment."
We wonder if we should've auditioned for a spot on the runway. Granted, we're not worth celebrating. Oh, and we hope you enjoy that mental image.
Savage X Fenty performers include Halsey, Migos, DJ Khaled, Big Sean, A$AP Ferg, Fat Joe, Fabolous and Tierra Whack.
Savage X Fenty is currently available on Amazon Fashion. The new fall/winter 2019 collection will go up in tandem with the show's arrival on 9/20.
