I made an amendment to my chart's rules. I've removed every single rule, including the recurrent rule and the 40 week requirement for former #1s. This will purely be my favorite songs at the moment with the only remaining rule being that the song can't be 2 years old or older. Anyway the summary: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This week we say goodbye to "The Hype" by Twenty One Pilots. We also see some record-breakers. "Days Gone Quiet" by Lewis Capaldi and "Lose You To Love Me" by Selena Gomez drop off the chart from #11 and #10 respectively, both of which are the highest dropoffs in this chart's history!
OneRepublic debuts at #40 with "Didn't I". Hailee Steinfeld debuts at #37 with "I Love You's". Hailee has had 2 #1s in the past: "Let Me Go" and "Capital Letters". Can this be her 3rd #1? Find out in the weeks to come!
Hoang & Tasji has our highest debut with "When You're Lonely" at #28.
We have 9 songs tie for the fastest rising hit this week: "If The World Was Ending" by JP Saxe & Julia Michaels at #14, "You Should Be Sad" by Halsey at #15, "First Man" by Camila Cabello" at #19, "Roxanne" by Arizona Zervas at #20, "South Of The Border" by Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, & CARDI B at #21, "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd at #22, "Everything I Wanted" by Billie Eilish at #23, "Undrunk" by Fletcher at #27 (this one a rebound), and "I'll Be There" by Walk Off The Earth at #29. Other big moves come from "Changes", "Falling", and the rebounds from "Lonely", "Adore You" and "I Found You"
3 songs tie for the biggest fall of the week, all falling 18 spots: "Goodbyes" at #35, "Time" at #34, and "Dear Winter" at #25. Other big falls come from "Don't Give Up On Me" and "Who Do You Love".
Dermot Kennedy gets his first top 10 hit with "Outnumbered"! And former #1 "Takeaway" by The Chainsmokers, ILLENIUM, and Lennon Stella re-enters the top 10 at #9!
After spending the last 2 weeks at #1, "Wish You Pain" by Andy Grammer" drops 5 spots to #6. So Martin Garrix & Dean Lewis slide up to #3 with "Used To Love", ILLENIUM & Jon Bellion slide up to #2 with "Good Things Fall Apart", and Lewis Capaldi gets his 3rd #1 with "Leaving My Love Behind"! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week we say goodbye to "Maniac" by Conan Gray, "Don't Start Now" by Dua Lipa, and "I'll Be There" by Walk Off The Earth. Marshmello and CHVRCHES also end their 52 week run with "Here With Me". Andy Grammer now has the oldest song this week with "Don't Give Up On Me", which has been on for 49 weeks so far. This also ends Marshmello's 121-consecutive week run on this chart.
Bazzi gets his 3rd entry with "Young And Alive" at #40. Bazzi has had one #1, "Beautiful". Can this be his 2nd #1? Find out in the weeks to come!
Kacey Musgraves re-enters at #26 with "Rainbow". This song originally peaked at #22 and spent 6 weeks on below falling off. And originally falling off back in July 2019, this 9-month gap is the longest stretch between a drop off the chart and a re-entry.
Avril Lavigne gets her 2nd hit with "We Are Warriors" at #12. It's the 2nd highest debut of the year so far.
And Justin Jesso has not only the highest debut of the week, but of the year as well, with "If You're Meant To Come Back" at #10. It's his 1st hit here. The last top 10 debut was "The Hype" by Twenty One Pilots, which debuted at #9 6 months ago.
Billie Joe Armstrong of the band Green Day has the fastest rise of the week with "I Think We're Alone Now", jumping 14 spots to #24. We see two other big jumps this week. "Staring At The Sun" by Post Malone & SZA jumps 6 to #27 and "I'm Ready" by Sam Smith & Demi Lovato jumps 11 to #25.
The Chainsmokers, ILLENIUM, & Lennon Stella fall 12 spots to #32 with "Takeaway", this week's biggest fall. We see other big falls this week as well. "I Found You" by Andy Grammer falls 8 to #38, "Goodbyes" by Post Malone & Young Thug falls 8 to #33 and "Lie" by Lukas Graham falls 10 to #29. And after spending the last 2 weeks at #1, "Gone" by Hoang & Kianna drops 5 spots to #6.
Lewis Capaldi climbs up to #3 with "Before You Go". JP Saxe & Julia Michaels jump 4 spots to #2 with "If The World Was Ending". And Martin Garrix & Dean Lewis have the new #1 with "Used To Love"! It's the first #1 for both acts on the song! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 17, 2020This week we say goodbye to "Wrong Direction" by Hailee Steinfeld and "Rainbow" by Kacey Musgraves (which was ineligible to chart because of my chart rules ). We don't have any debuts this week, but we have 2 songs that re-enter the chart, both of which are former top 10s - "Graveyard" by Halsey at #39 and "Circles" by Post Malone at #40. Both of which were last on the chart back in January 2020. Marshmello & Halsey jump 25 notches to #15 with "Be Kind". It's the fastest rising song this week and the 2nd fastest rising song of the year so far, only behind "I Love You's" by Hailee Steinfeld. Coming very close is "Wrong To Let You Go" by Man Cub, APEK, and April Bender with a 23 spot jump to #16. We see other big moves this week. "No Judgement" by Niall Horan jumps 7 spots to #28, "What Am I" by Why Don't We rebounds 5 spots to #14, and "Falling" by Harry Styles jumps 5 spots to #5. Also, The Weeknd jumps 7 spots to #10 with "Blinding Lights", getting him his 3rd top 10! Both of his previous top 10s, "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming", reached #1. Can this accomplish the same feat? Find out in the weeks to come! For the second week in a row, Eminem & Juice WRLD have the biggest fall of the week with "Godzilla" falling 18 to #38. We see other big falls this week too. "Lie" by Lukas Graham drops 8 spots to #36, "Good Things Fall Apart" drops 14 spots to #26, and "Gone" by Hoang & Kianna falls 6 spots to #11. Lewis Capaldi stays #3 with "Before You Go". After hitting #1 last week, JP Saxe & Julia Michaels drop to #2 with "If The World Was Ending".
