Spotify is not even remotely irrelevant. What are y'all on? Apple Music literally pulls in the same numbers as Spotify.* I-
Y'all are confusing competitiveness between two companies as one dying off. Spotify going from king to having stiff competition does not mean it's dying or irrelevant. It just means there's actual competition. Very much unlike when digital sales rules the roost and an overwhelming majority came from iTunes. I think y'all got a bit spoiled with that.
*In raw numbers. Apple Music is exclusively subscription only, unlike Spotify, so weighting favors AM ever so slightly. Spotify has the free version, let's not forget. And in the US, AM only has about 2 million more paid subscribers than Spotify. That's not extremely significant when both are pulling in tens of millions of subscribers.

Spotify is also expanding now with podcasts (buying podcast companies and such), it's not just music anymore as they go all in as an audio platform.

Yeah, "irrelevant" was a wrong word choice on my part because what I meant is "stagnated". AM pretty much put the brakes to Spotify's continuous growth from 2015 to 2018. It's not "dying" per say, but it's not getting any bigger either.

Hmm, can't really tell anything from just that 4 second snippet. The song is doing well enough and rising as it is, if the goal of her feature is to help its chart success, it doesn't really need that. It might even hurt it in that regard, especially if the remix isn't good and doesn't add anything to the original, given that Ariana is on the down-swing now.

Frank isnt anywhere close to flopping, #7 on AM and #4 on Spotify. Great numbers for a song with no mainstream appeal, great numbers in general.
